Abstract

An image reading apparatus includes a reading unit; a reading processing unit for reading an image of an original with the reading unit; an operation unit for inputting terminal information of a specific terminal device among a plurality of terminal devices whose terminal information for identification is set in advance; an information request processing unit for transmitting an information acquisition request to the terminal devices through concurrent notification to request specific information; a terminal device determination processing unit for identifying the specific terminal device according to answer information transmitted from the terminal devices relative to the information acquisition request; and an image data transmission processing unit for transmitting image data of the image of the original read with the reading processing unit to the specific terminal device thus identified.

Claims (27)

1. An image reading apparatus comprising:

a reading unit;

a reading processing unit for reading an image of an original with the reading unit;

an operation unit for inputting first terminal information of a specific terminal device among a plurality of terminal devices each having second terminal information set in advance;

an information request processing unit for transmitting an information acquisition request to each of the terminal devices through concurrent notification to request specific information;

a terminal device determination processing unit for identifying the specific terminal device according to answer information transmitted from each of the terminal devices relative to the information acquisition request; and

an image data transmission processing unit for transmitting image data of the image of the original to the specific terminal device.

The image reading apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said information request processing unit is arranged to transmit the first terminal information, said terminal device determination processing unit being arranged to identify the specific terminal device according to the first terminal information.

The image reading apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said information request processing unit is arranged to transmit the information acquisition request to each of the terminal devices to request the second terminal information thereof, said terminal device determination processing unit being arranged to identify the specific terminal device according to the first terminal information.

The image reading apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said operation unit is arranged to input an image format for converting read data acquired with the reading unit to image data, said information request processing unit being arranged to transmit the first terminal information and the image format, said terminal device determination processing unit being arranged to identify the specific terminal device according to the first terminal information.

The image reading apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said operation unit is arranged to input an image format for converting read data acquired with the reading unit to image data, said information request processing unit being arranged to transmit the information acquisition request to each of the terminal devices to request the second terminal information thereof and the image format with which each of the terminal devices can perform image conversion, said terminal device determination processing unit being arranged to identify the specific terminal device according to the first terminal information.

6. The image reading apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said reading processing unit is arranged to start reading the image of the original when the information request processing unit transmits the information acquisition request.

7. A network system, comprising:

a network;

a plurality of terminal devices each having second terminal information set in advance; and

an image reading apparatus connected to the terminal devices through the network,

wherein said image reading apparatus includes:

a reading unit;

a reading processing unit for reading an image of an original with the reading unit;

an operation unit for inputting first terminal information of a specific terminal device among the terminal devices;

an information request processing unit for transmitting an information acquisition request to each of the terminal devices through concurrent notification to request specific information;

a terminal device determination processing unit for identifying the specific terminal device according to answer information transmitted from each of the terminal devices relative to the information acquisition request; and

an image data transmission processing unit for transmitting image data of the image of the original to the specific terminal device.

The network system according to claim 7 , wherein said information request processing unit is arranged to transmit the first terminal information, each of said terminal devices including a terminal information matching determination processing unit for comparing the first terminal information with the second terminal information and an answer information transmission processing unit for transmitting a determination result of the terminal information matching determination processing unit as the answer information to the image reading apparatus, said terminal device determination processing unit being arranged to identify the specific terminal device according to the determination result.

The network system according to claim 7 , wherein said information request processing unit is arranged to transmit the information acquisition request to each of the terminal devices to request the second terminal information thereof, each of said terminal devices including an image information transmission processing unit for transmitting the second terminal information as the answer information to the image reading apparatus, said terminal device determination processing unit being arranged to identify the specific terminal device according to a comparison result between the first terminal information and the second terminal information.

The network system according to claim 7 , wherein said operation unit is arranged to input an image format for converting read data acquired with the reading unit to image data, said information request processing unit being arranged to transmit the first terminal information and the image format, each of said terminal devices including a terminal information matching determination processing unit for determining whether the first terminal information matches to the second terminal information, an image format support determination processing unit for determining whether it is possible to perform image conversion according to the image format, and an answer information transmission processing unit for transmitting a first determination result of the terminal information matching determination processing unit and a second determination result of the image format support determination processing unit as the answer information to the image reading apparatus, said terminal device determination processing unit being arranged to identify the specific terminal device according to the first determination result and the second determination result.

11. The network system according to claim 7 , wherein said reading processing unit is arranged to start reading the image of the original when the information request processing unit transmits the information acquisition request.
