Claims (17)

1. A method of simultaneously treating a subject for a blood clotting condition, autonomic dysfunction and an inflammatory condition, said method consisting essentially of:

(a) identifying a cardiovascular condition in said subject;

(b) identifying said blood clotting condition, autonomic dysfunction and inflammatory condition in said subject, wherein at least two of said blood clotting condition, autonomic dysfunction and inflammatory condition result from said cardiovascular condition; and

(c) administering an effective amount of a single anti-inflammatory pharmacologically active agent to said subject to simultaneously treat said subject for said blood clotting condition, autonomic dysfunction and inflammatory condition with said single anti-inflammatory pharmacologically active agent, wherein said anti-inflammatory pharmacologically active agent is a glucocorticoid receptor blocker;

wherein:

said blood clotting condition is coronary artery disease;

said autonomic dysfunction is QT interval prolongation; and

said inflammatory condition is sleep apnea.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein said glucocorticoid receptor blocker is mifepristone.

3. A method of simultaneously treating a subject for a cardiovascular condition, an arrhythmia and a condition that causes hypoxia, said method consisting of:

(a) identifying said cardiovascular condition, said arrhythmia and said condition that causes hypoxia in said subject; and

(d) administering an effective amount of a glucocorticoid receptor blocker to said subject to simultaneously treat said subject for cardiovascular condition, said arrhythmia and said condition that causes hypoxia in said subject;

wherein said arrhythmia or said hypoxia is a result of said cardiovascular condition and

said blood clotting condition is coronary artery disease;

said autonomic dysfunction is QT interval prolongation; and

said inflammatory condition is sleep apnea.
