Abstract

Neuroinvasive and neurovirulent strain of the West Nile virus, named IS-98-ST1, nucleic acid molecules derived from its genome, proteins and peptides encoded by said nucleic acid molecules, and uses thereof.

Claims (21)

1. A recombinant protein comprising at least one amino acid sequence selected from:

the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 291 to the amino acid at position 791 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2;

the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 792 to the amino acid at position 1144 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2;

the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1145 to the amino acid at position 1374 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2;

the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1375 to the amino acid at position 1505 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2;

the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1506 to the amino acid at position 2124 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2; and

the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 2529 to the amino acid at position 3430 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

2. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein comprises the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 291 to the amino acid at position 791 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

3. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein comprises the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 792 to the amino acid at position 1144 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

4. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein comprises the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1145 to the amino acid at position 1374 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

5. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein comprises the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1375 to the amino acid at position 1505 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

6. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein comprises the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1506 to the amino acid at position 2124 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

7. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein comprises the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 2529 to the amino acid at position 3430 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

8. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein comprises the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

9. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein consists of the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 291 to the amino acid at position 791 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

10. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein consists of the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 792 to the amino acid at position 1144 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

11. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein consists of the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1145 to the amino acid at position 1374 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

12. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein consists of the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1375 to the amino acid at position 1505 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

13. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein consists of the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 1506 to the amino acid at position 2124 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

14. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein consists of the amino acid sequence extending from the amino acid at position 2529 to the amino acid at position 3430 of the sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.

15. The recombinant protein according to claim 1 , wherein the recombinant protein consists of the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO. 2.
