Abstract

A VCM is disclosed, the VCM including a rotor having a first driving unit and arranged therein with a lens, a stator having a second driving unit wrapping the first driving unit and being opposite to the first driving unit, a base supporting the stator and having an opening formed at a position corresponding to that of the lens, a connection terminal including a pair of first and second connection terminals arranged at an upper surface of the base, and an elastic member including a first elastic member coupled to the rotor and electrically connected the first connection terminal and a second elastic member coupled to the rotor and electrically connected the second connection terminal.

Claims (59)

1. A VCM (Voice Coil Motor), the VCM comprising:

a mover including a bobbin and a first driving unit;

a second driving unit being opposite to the first driving unit;

a base disposed under the mover;

a connection terminal including a first connection terminal and a second connection terminal disposed at the base;

an elastic member disposed on the base and including a first elastic member and a second elastic member coupled to the mover; and

a conductive material disposed both between the first elastic member and the first connection terminal and between the second elastic member and the second connection terminal;

wherein the first elastic member includes a first inner member coupled to the bobbin, a first outer member coupled to the base, and a first connection member connecting the first inner member and the first outer member;

wherein the second elastic member includes a second inner member coupled to the bobbin, a second outer member coupled to the base and a second connection member connecting the second inner member and the second outer member;

wherein the first elastic member is physically separated from the second elastic member,

wherein the first elastic member is electrically connected to the first connection terminal and the second elastic member is electrically connected to the second connection terminal; and

wherein each of the first connection terminal and the second connection terminal includes a bent portion.

2. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein each of the first and second elastic members includes a leaf spring.

3. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein each of the first and second connection terminals includes first portion disposed on a lateral surface of the base, and a second portion bent from the first portion.

4. The VCM of claim 3 , wherein each of the first and second connection terminals further includes a third portion passing through a lateral surface of the base to fix the first portion and the second portion to the base.

5. The VCM of claim 4 , wherein the first portion is vertically arranged against the third portion.

6. The VCM of claim 3 , wherein each of the first portion and the second portion of the first and second connection terminals is supported by the base.

7. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the conductive member includes any one of a conductive resin and a solder paste.

8. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the first elastic member further includes a first connection portion overlapping with the first connection terminal, and the second elastic member further includes a second connection portion overlapping with the second connection terminal.

9. The VCM of claim 8 , wherein the first and second connection portions are bent towards the first and second connection terminals.

10. The VCM of claim 8 , further comprising a stator mounted with the second driving unit,

wherein a push lug is formed at a bottom surface of the stator opposite to the base for compression of the first and second connection portions, thereby allowing the first and second connection portions to be bent towards the first and second connection terminals.

11. The VCM of claim 8 , wherein each of the first and second connection portions is formed with a through hole.

12. The VCM of claim 8 , wherein a gap is formed between the first and second connection portions and the first and second connection terminals.

13. The VCM of claim 12 , wherein the conductive material is disposed in the gap.

14. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the first outer member of the first elastic member is electrically connected to the first connection terminal, and wherein a portion of the second outer member of the second elastic member is electrically connected to the second connection terminal.

15. The VCM of claim 14 , wherein the portion of the first outer member of the first elastic member includes a first connection portion extended from the first outer member in a horizontal direction, and wherein the portion of the second outer member of the second elastic member includes a second connection portion extended from the second outer member in a horizontal direction.

16. The VCM of claim 15 , further comprising a conductive material disposed both between the first connection portion and the first connection terminal, and between the second connection portion and the second connection terminal.

17. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the first driving unit includes a magnet, and the second driving unit includes a coil block.

18. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the first driving unit includes a coil, and the second driving unit includes a magnet.

19. The VCM of claim 18 , wherein the coil is wound at a lateral surface of the bobbin, and each distal end of the coil is electrically connected to the first and second elastic members.

20. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the base is formed at an upper surface thereof with a plurality of stoppers supporting a lower surface of the mover, and a foreign object scavenger unit is concavely formed around the stoppers.

21. The VCM of claim 20 , wherein the foreign object scavenger unit is formed with a foreign object scavenger membrane having a viscosity.

22. The VCM of claim 21 , wherein the foreign object scavenger membrane includes an epoxy resin.

23. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the conductive material is disposed at the base.

24. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the conductive material is disposed both between the first outer member of the first elastic member and the first connection terminal and between the second outer member of the second elastic member and the second connection terminal.

25. The VCM of claim 1 , wherein the first elastic member further includes a first connection portion extended from the first outer member, and the second elastic member further includes a second connection portion extended from the second outer member, and wherein the conductive material is disposed both between the first connection portion and the first connection terminal and between the second connection portion and the second connection terminal.

26. A camera module comprising an image sensor, a lens, and a VCM,

wherein the VCM comprises:

a mover including a bobbin and a first driving unit;

a second driving unit being opposite to the first driving unit;

a base disposed under the mover;

a connection terminal including a first connection terminal and a second connection terminal disposed at the base;

an elastic member disposed on the base and including a first elastic member and a second elastic member coupled to the mover; and

a conductive material disposed both between the first elastic member and the first connection terminal and between the second elastic member and the second connection terminal;

wherein the first elastic member includes a first inner member coupled to the bobbin, a first outer member coupled to the base, and a first connection member connecting the first inner member and the first outer member;

wherein the second elastic member includes a second inner member coupled to the bobbin, a second outer member coupled to the base, and a second connection member connecting the second inner member and the second outer member;

wherein the first elastic member is physically separated from the second elastic member;

wherein the first elastic member is electrically connected to the first connection terminal and the second elastic member is electrically connected to the second connection terminal; and

wherein each of the first connection terminal and the second connection terminal includes a bent portion.

27. The camera module of claim 26 , wherein each of the first and second connection terminals includes a first portion disposed on a lateral surface of the base, and a second portion bent from the first portion.

28. The camera module of claim 26 , wherein the first elastic member further includes a first connection portion overlapping with the first connection terminal, and the second elastic member further includes a second connection portion overlapping with the second connection terminal.

29. The camera module of claim 28 , wherein a gap is formed between the first and second connection portions and the first and second connection terminals.

30. The camera module of claim 29 , wherein the conductive material is disposed in the gap.

31. The camera module of claim 26 , wherein a portion of the first outer member of the first elastic member is electrically connected to the first connection terminal, and wherein a portion of the second outer member of the second elastic member is electrically connected to the second connection terminal.

32. The camera module of claim 31 , wherein the portion of the first outer member of the first elastic member includes a first connection portion extended from the first outer member in a horizontal direction, and wherein the portion of the second outer member of the second elastic member includes a second connection portion extended from the second outer member in a horizontal direction.

33. The camera module of claim 32 , further comprising a conductive material disposed both between the first connection portion and the first connection terminal, and between the second connection portion and the second connection terminal.

34. The camera module of claim 26 , wherein the conductive material is disposed both between the first outer member of the first elastic member and the first connection terminal and between the second outer member of the second elastic member and the second connection terminal.

35. The camera module of claim 26 , wherein the first elastic member further includes a first connection portion extended from the first outer member, and the second elastic member includes a second connection portion extended from the second outer member, and wherein the conductive material is disposed both between the first connection portion and the first connection terminal and between the second connection portion and the second connection terminal.
