Abstract

An electric motor for an elevator drive comprises a motor housing; a number of motor windings which are connected to at least one terminal; ribs or webs being arranged on the motor housing; and the at least one terminal is arranged between the ribs or webs.

Claims (20)

1. An electric motor for an elevator drive comprising:

an internal rotor rotatable inside a stator;

a motor housing disposed around the electric motor;

a number of motor windings which are connected to at least one terminal;

first and second ribs arranged on the motor housing such that the first and second ribs form a space between the first and second ribs as a type of cable duct on the motor housing;

the at least one terminal is arranged in the space between the first and second ribs; and

the motor windings are passed out of the motor housing and laid between the ribs.

2. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the motor is in a form of a synchronous motor, with the motor windings being connected to the at least one terminal.

3. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the ribs are arranged in a circumferential direction.

4. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the ribs have a profile that does not exceed a predetermined height above a housing surface.

5. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a plurality of terminals are arranged between the ribs.

6. The electric motor as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the terminals are arranged adjacent one another between the ribs or one behind the other in a circumferential direction.

7. The electric motor as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the terminals are arranged adjacent one another between the ribs, and one behind the other in a circumferential direction.

8. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein connections of the motor windings are arranged between the ribs.

9. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein motor connecting cables lead downward away from the at least one terminal.

10. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein edges of the ribs point away from the motor housing and are connected to one another by a cover.

11. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the ribs are used as supporting ribs in order to make the motor housing robust.

12. A motor housing for an electric motor having an internal rotor rotatable within a stator, comprising:

first and second ribs arranged on the motor housing such that a space is formed as a type of cable duct between the first and second ribs and at least one terminal arranged in the space between the first and second ribs; and

the ribs are configured for laying between the ribs motor windings passed out of the motor housing.
