Abstract

A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film of the present invention includes a polarizing film and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on the polarizing film, wherein the polarizing film includes a polarizer with a thickness of 10 μm or less and a transparent protective film or films provided on one or both sides of the polarizer, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed from a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) and an ionic compound (B). The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film has an antistatic function and exhibits durability.

Claims (23)

1. A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film, comprising a polarizing film and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on the polarizing film,

wherein the polarizing film comprises a polarizer with a thickness of 10 μm or less and a transparent protective film or films provided on one or both sides of the polarizer, and

the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed from a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) and an ionic compound (B).

2. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , wherein the polarizer with a thickness of 10 μm or less is a polarizing layer of a continuous web including an alcohol-based resin layer containing an oriented dichroic material, which is obtained by a two-stage stretching process comprising first in-air stretching of a laminate and second stretching of the laminate in an aqueous boric acid solution, wherein the laminate includes a thermoplastic resin substrate and a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin layer.

3. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , wherein the ionic compound (B) is an alkali metal salt and/or an organic cation-anion salt.

4. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 3 , wherein an anionic component of an organic cation-anion salt is at least one selected from the group consisting of

the formulae (2): CF 2 (C m F 2m SO 2 ) 2 N − , wherein m is an integer of 1 to 10;

and formulae (3): − O 3 S(CF 2 ) 1 SO 3 − , wherein 1 is an integer of 1 to 10.

5. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , which comprises 0.0001 to 5 parts by weight of the ionic compound (B) based on 100 parts by weight of the (meth)acryl-based polymer (A).

6. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , wherein the (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) comprises an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer unit and a hydroxyl group-containing monomer unit.

7. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , wherein the (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) comprises an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer unit and a carboxyl group-containing monomer unit.

8. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , the pressure-sensitive adhesive further comprises a crosslinking agent.

9. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 8 , which comprises 0.01 to 20 parts by weight of the crosslinking agent (C) based on 100 parts by weight of the (meth)acryl-based polymer (A).

10. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 8 , wherein the crosslinking agent (C) is at least one selected from an isocyanate compound and a peroxide.

11. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , further comprising 0.001 to 5 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent (D) based on 100 parts by weight of the (meth)acryl-based polymer (A).

12. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , wherein the (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) has a weight average molecular weight of 500,000 to 3,000,000.

13. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , further comprising an adhesion-facilitating layer that is provided between the polarizing film and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.

14. An image display, comprising at least one piece of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 .

15. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , wherein the ionic compound (B) is an alkali metal salt.

16. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 1 , wherein the ionic compound (B) is an organic cation-anion salt.

17. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film according to claim 16 , wherein an anionic component of an organic cation-anion salt is at least one selected from the group consisting of

the formulae (2): CF 2 (C m F 2m SO 2 ) 2 N − , wherein m is an integer of 1 to 10;
