Abstract

Embodiments of the disclosure may include a medical device comprising a flexible elongate member including a longitudinal axis and a tool connected to the elongate member near a pivot, wherein the tool may be configured for at least one of suction and infusion, and wherein the tool may be configured to pivot towards both sides of the longitudinal axis relative to the elongate member at the pivot.

Claims (6)

1. A medical device, comprising:

a flexible elongate member including a longitudinal axis and a distal end;

a tool configured for fluid transfer, wherein the tool includes a tip; and

a pivoting member extending distal to the distal end of the flexible elongate member, wherein the tool is operably coupled to the pivoting member, is configured to pivot towards at least one side of the longitudinal axis relative to the elongate member by actuation of the pivoting member, and is configured to pivot to cause the tip to enter and exit the distal end of the flexible elongate member, and the pivoting member includes a lumen extending to the tool.

2. The medical device of claim 1 , further comprising a tube configured to fluidly couple the tool to one of a vacuum source and a fluid source.

3. The medical device of claim 1 , further comprising a first control member and a second control member operably coupled to the pivoting member, wherein the tool is deflectable in a first direction to a first position on a first side of the longitudinal axis when the first control member is proximally retracted, and the tool is deflectable in a second direction to a second position on a second side of the longitudinal axis when the second control member is proximally retracted, and the first side and the second side are on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis.
