Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for transmitting control information regarding uplink multiple antenna transmission may comprise the steps of: transmitting DCI for scheduling the uplink transmission of a plurality of data blocks through a PDCCH; receiving the plurality of data blocks scheduled by the DCI; transmitting information which indicates positive acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement to each of the plurality of received data blocks through the PHICH; and receiving retransmission for the negative acknowledged data blocks. When the number of the negative-acknowledged data blocks is not equal to the number data blocks indicated in the PDCCH, a pre-coding matrix, which is for the number of transmission layers equivalent to that of layers corresponding to the negative-acknowledged data blocks, may be used for retransmission.

Claims (32)

1. A method by a base station (BS) for receiving an uplink (UL) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) retransmission, the method comprising:

receiving a retransmission of at least one negatively-acknowledged transport block (TB) from a user equipment (UE),

wherein, if downlink control information for the retransmission has not been previously transmitted by the BS to the UE and if a number of the at least one negatively-acknowledged TB is different from a number of TBs as indicated by a most recently transmitted downlink control information, a predetermined precoding matrix is used in the retransmission, and

wherein a number of transmission layers for the predetermined precoding matrix is equal to a number of transmission layers corresponding to the negatively-acknowledged TB.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the negatively-acknowledged TB is indicated by a physical hybrid-automatic repeat request indicator channel (PHICH).

3. The method according to claim 2 , wherein a subframe in which the retransmission by the UE is performed corresponds to subframe index n+4 if a subframe in which the UE receives the PHICH corresponds to subframe index n, where n is an integer and n≧0.

4. A method by a user equipment (UE) for performing uplink (UL) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) retransmission, the method comprising:

performing, by the UE, a retransmission of at least one negatively-acknowledged transport block (TB) to a Base Station (BS),

wherein, if downlink control information from the BS for the retransmission is not detected by the UE and if a number of the at least one negatively-acknowledged TB is different from a number of TBs as indicated by a most recently received downlink control information, a predetermined precoding matrix is used in the retransmission, and

wherein a number of transmission layers for the predetermined precoding matrix is equal to a number of transmission layers corresponding to the negatively-acknowledged TB.

5. The method according to claim 4 , wherein the negatively-acknowledged TB is indicated by a physical hybrid-automatic repeat request indicator channel (PHICH).

6. The method according to claim 5 , wherein a subframe in which the retransmission is performed corresponds to subframe index n+4 if a subframe in which the UE receives the PHICH corresponds to subframe index n, where n is an integer and n≧0.

7. A base station (BS) for transmitting control information for uplink (UL) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) transmission, the BS comprising:

a reception module;

a transmission module; and

a processor,

wherein the processor is configured to:

receive, from a user equipment (UE), a retransmission of at least one negatively-acknowledged transport block (TB),

wherein, if downlink control information for the retransmission has not been previously transmitted by the BS to the UE and if a number of the at least one negatively-acknowledged TB is different from a number of TBs as indicated by a most recently transmitted downlink control information, a predetermined precoding matrix is used in the retransmission, and

wherein a number of transmission layers for the predetermined precoding matrix is equal to a number of transmission layers corresponding to the negatively-acknowledged TB.

8. The BS according to claim 7 , wherein the negatively-acknowledged TB is indicated by a physical hybrid-automatic repeat request indicator channel (PHICH).

9. The BS according to claim 8 , wherein a subframe in which the retransmission by the UE is performed corresponds to subframe index n+4 if a subframe in which the UE receives the PHICH corresponds to subframe index n, where n is an integer and n≧0.

10. A user equipment (UE) for performing uplink (UL) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) transmission, the UE comprising:

a reception module;

a transmission module; and

a processor,

wherein the processor is configured to:

perform a retransmission of at least one negatively-acknowledged transport block (TB) to a Base Station (BS),

wherein, if downlink control information from the BS for the retransmission is not detected by the UE and if a number of the at least one negatively-acknowledged TB is different from a number of TBs as indicated by the most recently received downlink control information, a predetermined precoding matrix is used in the retransmission, and

wherein a number of transmission layers for the predetermined precoding matrix is equal to a number of transmission layers corresponding to the negatively-acknowledged TB.

11. The UE according to claim 10 , wherein the negatively-acknowledged TB is indicated by a physical hybrid-automatic repeat request indicator channel (PHICH).

12. The UE according to claim 11 , wherein a subframe in which the retransmission is performed corresponds to subframe index n+4 if a subframe in which the UE receives the PHICH corresponds to subframe index n, where n is an integer and n≧0.
