Abstract

A system for pre-fabricating a plurality of synthetic turf strips at an indoor facility. The indoor facility is separate from an installation facility for assembling the plurality of strips into a synthetic field. The system includes a plurality of strips for creating the synthetic field and equipment at the indoor facility for prefabricating the plurality of strips. The indoor facility is capable of storing the equipment performing the prefabrication. A floor at the indoor facility is provided, the floor including dimensions that correspond to locations on a field at the installation facility. The dimensions correspond to markings on an underside of each of the plurality of strips.

Claims (7)

an indoor facility for prefabricating a plurality of strips, wherein the indoor facility is separate from an installation facility for assembling the plurality of strips into a synthetic field;

a plurality of strips for creating the synthetic field;

equipment at the indoor facility for prefabricating the plurality of strips, wherein the indoor facility is capable of storing the equipment performing the prefabrication; and

a floor at the indoor facility, the floor comprising dimensions that correspond to locations on a field at the installation facility, and wherein the dimensions correspond to markings on an underside of each of the plurality of strips.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of strips are rolled up around its core, placed in a retention mechanism, and shipped from the indoor facility to the installation facility.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein at least some of the plurality of strips correspond to end zones of the synthetic field.
