A firearm having a slide portion which has a top surface having opposed shoulder edges which are each linearly co-extensive and longitudinally co-extensive to said top surface and wherein said firearm further includes a plurality of substantially identical engagement portions which are disposed only upon one of said opposed shoulder edges and which project away from said opposed shoulder edges.
