Pharmaceutical combination comprising a phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor and/an aromatase inhibitor
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical combination comprising a 2-carboxamide cycloamino urea derivative compound of formula (I) and at least one aromatase inhibitor for the treatment of cancer; the uses of such combinations in the treatment of cancer; and to a method of treating warm-blooded animals including humans suffering cancer by administering to said animal in need of such treatment an effective dose of a 2-carboxamide cycloamino urea derivative compound of formula (I) in combination with at least one aromatase inhibitor.
1. A pharmaceutical combination comprising the compound (S)-Pyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylic acid 2-amide 1-({4-methyl-5-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1,1-dimethyl-ethyl)-pyridin-4-yl]-thiazol-2-yl}-amide)
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and
(b) at least one aromatase inhibitor which is selected from letrozole or exemestane or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in the treatment of breast cancer.
2. A method for the treatment of breast cancer comprising administering a quantity of (a) the compound (S)-Pyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylic acid 2-amide 1-({4-methyl-5-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1,1-dimethyl-ethyl)-pyridin-4-yl]-thiazol-2-yl}-amide) according to claim 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and (b) at least one aromatase inhibitor, which is selected from letrozole or exemestane or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is jointly therapeutically effective, to a warm-blooded animal in need thereof.
3. A method according to claim 2 , wherein the compound (S)-Pyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylic acid 2-amide 1-({4-methyl-5-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1,1-dimethyl-ethyl)-pyridin-4-yl]-thiazol-2-yl}-amide) and the aromatase inhibitor are administered as separate compositions or sequentially.
4. A kit comprising the compound (S)-Pyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylic acid 2-amide 1-({4-methyl-5-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1,1-dimethyl-ethyl)-pyridin-4-yl]-thiazol-2-yl}-amide) according to claim 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a package insert or label providing directions for treating breast cancer by co-administering at least one aromatase inhibitor.
