Abstract

A process for fixing an article to a substrate with a mounting set including two receptacles storing an aerobic adhesive and a hydrophilic substance, respectively. The aerobic adhesive and the hydrophilic substance are removed from the two receptacles and then mixed together to prepare the fastening. A layer of the fastening composition is applied to the article. The article is fixed to the substrate by pressing the layer of the fastening composition against the substrate. The aerobic adhesive in the layer hardens because of the moisture contained in the hydrophilic substance.

Claims (12)

1. A process for fixing an article to a substrate with a mounting set comprising two receptacles storing an aerobic adhesive and a hydrophilic substance comprising a hydrophilic carrier fiber, respectively, the process comprising:

removing the aerobic adhesive and the hydrophilic substance from the two receptacles;

adding a measured quantity of moisture to the hydrophilic carrier fiber:

after the adding step, mixing together the hydrophilic substance and the aerobic adhesive to prepare a fastening composition;

applying a layer of the fastening composition to the article;

pressing the layer of the fastening composition against the substrate to fix the article to the substrate, wherein the aerobic adhesive in the layer hardens solely because of the moisture contained in the hydrophilic carrier fiber.

2. The process according to claim 1 , wherein the article comprises a mechanical fastening device.

3. The process according to claim 2 , wherein the mechanical fastening device comprises one of a pipe clip or an adaptor.

4. The process according to claim 1 , wherein the substrate comprises a wall and the article comprises a fastening element to which a piece of equipment can be attached.

5. The process according to claim 4 , wherein the wall includes a wall covering of tiles, ceramic tiles, stone slabs or marble slabs to which the fastening element is attached.

6. The process according to claim 5 , further comprising attaching the piece of equipment to the fastening element after the layer of the fastening composition between the wall and the fastening element has hardened.

7. The process according to claim 4 , wherein the piece of equipment comprises one of a light fixture, a piece of furniture or a sanitary equipment item.
