Method for treating eczema
A method for treating eczema including the steps of applying an isothiocyanate functional surfactant to an area affected by eczema, wherein the isothiocyanate functional surfactant comprises at least one isothiocyanate functional group associated with an aliphatic and/or aromatic carbon atom of the isothiocyanate functional surfactant.
1. A method for treating eczema, comprising the step(s) of:
applying a surfactant to an area affected by eczema, wherein the protonated form of the surfactant is represented by the following chemical structure:
wherein the protonated form of the surfactant comprises a non-polar moiety (NP) and a polar moiety (P), and wherein at least one isothiocyanate functional group (NCS) is associated with the polar and/or non-polar moiety.

The method for treating eczema, according to claim 1 , further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof.
3. The method for treating eczema, according to claim 1 , wherein the eczema is selected from one of the groups comprising atopic eczema, contact eczema, allergic contact eczema, seborrheic eczema, nummular eczema, neurodermatitis, stasis dermatitis, and/or dyshidrotic eczema.
4. A method for treating eczema, comprising the step(s) of:
applying a surfactant to an area affected by eczema, wherein the protonated form of the surfactant is represented by the following chemical structure:
wherein the protonated form of the surfactant comprises a non-polar moiety (NP) and a polar moiety (P), and wherein at least one isothiocyanate functional group (NCS) is associated with the polar and the non-polar moiety.

The method for treating eczema, according to claim 4 , further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof.
6. The method for treating eczema, according to claim 4 , wherein the eczema is selected from one of the groups comprising atopic eczema, contact eczema, allergic contact eczema, seborrheic eczema, nummular eczema, neurodermatitis, stasis dermatitis, and/or dyshidrotic eczema.
7. A method for treating eczema, comprising the step(s) of:
applying a surfactant to an area affected by eczema, wherein the protonated form of the surfactant is represented by the following chemical structure:
wherein the protonated form of the surfactant comprises a generally non-polar moiety (NP) and a generally polar moiety (P), and wherein at least one isothiocyanate functional group (NCS) is associated with the generally polar and/or non-polar moiety.

The method for treating eczema, according to claim 7 , further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof.
9. The method for treating eczema, according to claim 7 , wherein the eczema is selected from one of the groups comprising atopic eczema, contact eczema, allergic contact eczema, seborrheic eczema, nummular eczema, neurodermatitis, stasis dermatitis, and/or dyshidrotic eczema.
