Abstract

A method of controlling pest with a pesticidal composition comprising synergistically effective amounts of at least one anthranilamide compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt and other pesticide: wherein each of R 1a and R 1b which are independent of each other, is halogen; each of R 2 and R 3 is halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy or cyano; A is alkyl substituted by Y; Y is C 3-4 cycloalkyl which may be substituted by at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of halogen, alkyl and haloalkyl; n is 0 or 1; and q is an integer of from 0 to 4; provided that R 1a and R 1b are not simultaneously chlorine nor bromine.

Claims (22)

1. A method for controlling pests which creates problems in agricultural and horticultural fields, by applying synergistically effective amounts of (a) N-[2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[[α-methyl-(cyclopropylmethyl)amino]carbonyl]-phenyl]-3-bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxamide or a salt thereof; and one or more of (b) an insecticide, (c) a fungicide or combination thereof, to the pests or plants,

wherein the insecticide is selected from the group consisting of lambda-cyhalothrin, phenothrin, and a combination thereof;

wherein the fungicide is selected from the group consisting of tiadinil, pencycuron, validamycin, kasugamycin, diclocymet, carpropamid, and a combination thereof; and

wherein:

when (b) is lamda-cyhalothrin, the weight ratio of (a) to (b) is 16:1 to 30:1,

when (b) is phenothrin, the weight ratio of (a) to (b) is 1:5000 to 1:1250,

when (c) is tiadinil, the weight ratio of (a) to (c) is 1:10000 to 1:2500,

when (c) is pencycuron, the weight ratio of (a) to (c) is 1:12500 to 1:6250,

when (c) is validamycin, the weight ratio of (a) to (c) is 1:5000 to 1:1250,

when (c) is kasugamycin, the weight ratio of (a) to (c) is 1:8,

when (c) is diclocymet, the weight ratio of (a) to (c) is 1:3750-1:1, and

when (c) is carpropamid, the weight ratio of (a) to (c) is 1:250-1:67.

2. The method according to claim 1 , comprising applying the insecticide, which is selected from the group consisting of lambda-cyhalothrin, phenothrin, and a combination thereof.

3. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the insecticide is lambda-cyhalothrin.

4. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the insecticide is phenothrin.

5. The method according to claim 1 , comprising applying the fungicide, which is selected from the group consisting of tiadinil, pencycuron, validamycin, kasugamycin, diclocymet, carpropamid, and a combination thereof.

6. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the fungicide is tiadinil.

7. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the fungicide is pencycuron.

8. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the fungicide is validamycin.

9. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the fungicide is kasugamycin.

10. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the fungicide is diclocymet.

11. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the fungicide is carpropamid.
