Abstract

Data relevant to a predefined data object of a set of predefined data objects can be extracted from a unit of date received at a recurring revenue management system. The extracted relevant data can be populated to an instance of the predefined data object. One or more relationships between the instance of the predefined data object and at least one other instance of the predefined data object or a second predefined data object. The defining occurs based on a set of parameters associated with the predefined data object and content of the extracted data. An opportunity can be generated for a sale or renewal of a recurring revenue asset based at least in part on the one or more relationships, and the generated opportunity can be presented to a user. Related methods, systems, and computer program products are also described.

Claims (35)

1. A computer program product comprising a non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more programmable processors, cause the one or more programmable processors to perform operations comprising:

mapping a unit of data received from an external data source at a recurring revenue management system implemented on the one or more programmable processors, the mapping comprising integrating an inbound record type of the received unit of data to one of a set of predefined data object types supporting functions of the recurring revenue management system, the integrating comprising:

combining, by the one or more programmable processors, the received unit of data from an integration as a service (IaaS) provider or a service bus with an instance of one of the set of predefined data objects at a top layer of a data ingestion pipeline by populating an extension field of the instance of the one of the set of predefined data objects with the received unit of data, the set of predefined data objects supporting extension by the addition of a second extension field to any of the predefined data objects;

generating electronic data representing an opportunity for a sale or renewal of a recurring revenue asset based at least on a relationship or an inverse relationship between the extended data object and at least one of the set of predefined data objects, the generating comprising:

identifying a relationship between the extended data object and the at least one of the set of predefined data objects; and

automatically instantiating an inverse relationships between the extended data object and the at least one of the set of predefined data objects based at least on a transitivity analysis of the identified relationship, the instantiation automatically executed by the one or more programmable processors in response to the identifying of the relationship; and

providing user interface data to a client machine for presenting the electronic data to a user via a user interface shown on a display device of the client machine.

2. The computer program product in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the unit of data is received from an external source, and wherein the one or more relationships are derived from information that exists in the external source.

3. The computer program product in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the opportunity includes one or more offers that relate to renewal of one or more service assets of the recurring revenue asset.

4. The computer program product in accordance with claim 1 , the operations further comprising resolution of duplicate data records or duplicate entries for a single data field within the predefined data object or the extended data object by identifying one or more matching key fields whose uniqueness properties are known a priori.

5. The computer program product in accordance with claim 1 , the operations further comprising flagging and quarantining the unit of data as lower quality data, the flagging preventing the quarantined unit of data from being referenced during aggregate calculations.

6. A recurring revenue management system comprising:

one or more programmable processors; and

a non-transient machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more programmable processors, cause the one or more programmable processors to perform operations comprising:

mapping a unit of data received from an external data source at a recurring revenue management system implemented on one or more programmable processors, the mapping comprising integrating an inbound record type of the received unit of data to one of a set of predefined data object types supporting functions of the recurring revenue management system, the integrating comprising:

combining, by the one or more programmable processors, the received unit of data from an integration as a service (IaaS) provider or a service bus with an instance of one of the set of predefined data objects at a top layer of a data ingestion pipeline by populating an extension field of the instance of the one of the set of predefined data objects with the received unit of data, the set of predefined data objects supporting extension by the addition of a second extension field to any of the predefined data objects;

generating electronic data representing an opportunity for a sale or renewal of a recurring revenue asset based at least on a relationship or an inverse relationship between the extended data object and at least one of the set of predefined data objects, the generating comprising:

identifying a relationship between the extended data object and the at least one of the set of predefined data objects; and

automatically instantiating an inverse relationships between the extended data object and the at least one of the set of predefined data objects based at least on a transitivity analysis of the identified relationship, the instantiation automatically executed by the one or more programmable processors in response to the identifying of the relationship; and

providing user interface data to a client machine for presenting the electronic data to a user via a user interface shown on a display device of the client machine.

7. The system in accordance with claim 6 , wherein the unit of data is received from an external source, and wherein the one or more relationships are derived from information that exists in the external source.

8. The system in accordance with claim 6 , wherein the opportunity includes one or more offers that relate to renewal of one or more service assets of the recurring revenue asset.

9. The system in accordance with claim 6 , the operations further comprising resolution of duplicate data records or duplicate entries for a single data field within the predefined data object or the extended data object by identifying one or more matching key fields whose uniqueness properties are known a priori.

10. The system in accordance with claim 6 , the operations further comprising flagging and quarantining the unit of data as lower quality data, the flagging preventing the quarantined unit of data from being referenced during aggregate calculations.

11. A method comprising:

mapping a unit of data received from an external data source at a recurring revenue management system implemented on one or more programmable processors, the mapping comprising integrating an inbound record type of the received unit of data to one of a set of predefined data object types supporting functions of the recurring revenue management system, the integrating comprising:

combining, by the one or more programmable processors, the received unit of data from an integration as a service (IaaS) provider or a service bus with an instance of one of the set of predefined data objects at a top layer of a data ingestion pipeline by populating an extension field of the instance of the one of the set of predefined data objects with the received unit of data, the set of predefined data objects supporting extension by the addition of a second extension field to any of the predefined data objects;

generating, by the one or more programmable processors, electronic data representing an opportunity for a sale or renewal of a recurring revenue asset based at least on a relationship or an inverse relationship between the extended data object and at least one of the set of predefined data objects, the generating comprising:

identifying a relationship between the extended data object and the at least one of the set of predefined data objects; and

automatically instantiating an inverse relationships between the extended data object and the at least one of the set of predefined data objects based at least on a transitivity analysis of the identified relationship, the instantiation automatically executed by the one or more programmable processors in response to the identifying of the relationship; and

providing, by the one or more programmable processors, user interface data to a client machine for presenting the electronic data to a user via a user interface shown on a display device of the client machine.

12. The method in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the unit of data is received from an external source, and wherein the one or more relationships are derived from information that exists in the external source.

13. The method in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the opportunity includes one or more offers that relate to renewal of one or more service assets of the recurring revenue asset.

14. The method in accordance with claim 11 , the operations further comprising resolution of duplicate data records or duplicate entries for a single data field within the predefined data object or the extended data object by identifying one or more matching key fields whose uniqueness properties are known a priori.

15. The method in accordance with claim 11 , the operations further comprising flagging and quarantining the unit of data as lower quality data, the flagging preventing the quarantined unit of data from being referenced during aggregate calculations.
