Abstract

Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a polar code encoding method and device, the method comprising: utilizing a common information bit set to represent each of m polar code blocks, the polar codes in each polar code block having the same code length and different code rates, and m being greater than or equal to 2; according to the common information bit set corresponding to the polar code block, acquiring an information bit set corresponding to each polar code in the polar code block; and according to the information bit set corresponding to each polar code in the polar code block, conducting polar code encoding on information to be encoded, thus reducing polar code representation overhead, and solving the problem in the prior art of excessively high polar code representation overhead.

Claims (229)

1. A method for encoding information in a communication system, comprising:

obtaining K information bits, wherein K is greater than or equal to 1;

obtaining an information bit index set comprising K indices from a common information bit index set, wherein the information bit index set corresponds to a polar code in a polar code group, and the common information bit index set corresponds to the polar code group, wherein polar codes in the polar code group have a same code length and different code rates; and

generating polar coded information bits by encoding the K information bits using the information bit index set.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein each polar code in the polar code group corresponds to an information bit index set, information bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group have at least one common element.

3. The method according to claim 1 ,

wherein the common information bit index set corresponding to the polar code group is a union of information bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group, or

wherein the common information bit index set is an information bit index set corresponding to a polar code with any code rate in the polar code group.

The method according to claim 1 , wherein there is a recurrence relation among common information bit index sets corresponding respectively to m polar code groups, wherein m is greater than or equal to 2, and wherein the polar code group corresponding to the common information bit index is one of the m polar code groups.

5. The method according to claim 4 , wherein the recurrence relation among the common information bit index sets A corresponding respectively to the m polar code groups is:

6. A method for encoding information in a communication system, comprising:

obtaining K information bits, wherein K is greater than or equal to 1;

obtaining a frozen bit index set comprising N−K indices from a common frozen bit index set, wherein the frozen bit index set corresponds to a polar code in a polar code group, and the common frozen bit index set corresponds to the polar code group, wherein polar codes in the polar code group have a same code length and different code rates, wherein N is greater than K; and

generating polar coded information bits by encoding the K information bits using the frozen bit index set.

7. The method according to claim 6 , wherein each polar code in the polar code group corresponds to a frozen bit index set, frozen bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group have at least one common element.

8. The method according to claim 6 ,

wherein the common frozen bit index set corresponding to the polar code group is a union of frozen bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group, or

wherein the common frozen bit index set is a frozen bit index set corresponding to a polar code with any code rate in the polar code group.

The method according to claim 6 , wherein there is a recurrence relation among common frozen bit index sets corresponding to m polar code groups, wherein m is greater than or equal to 2; and wherein the polar code group corresponding to the common information bit index is one of the m polar code groups.

10. The method according to claim 9 , wherein the recurrence relation among the common frozen bit index sets A c corresponding respectively to the m polar code groups is:

11. An apparatus for encoding information in a communication system, comprising a processor and a non-transitory storage medium having processor-executable instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the apparatus to:

obtain K information bits, wherein K is greater than or equal to 1;

obtain an information bit index set comprising K indices from a common information bit index set, wherein the information bit index set corresponds to a polar code in a polar code group, and the common information bit index set corresponds to the polar code group, wherein polar codes in the polar code group have a same code length and different code rates; and

generate polar coded information bits by encoding the K information bits using the information bit index set.

12. The apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein each polar code in the polar code group corresponds to an information bit index set, information bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group have at least one common element.

13. The apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the common information bit index set corresponding to the polar code group is a union of information bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group, or

wherein the common information bit index set is an information bit index set corresponding to a polar code with any code rate in the polar code group.

The apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein there is a recurrence relation among common information bit index sets corresponding respectively to m polar code groups, wherein m is greater than or equal to 2, and wherein the polar code group corresponding to the common information bit index is one of the m polar code groups.

15. The apparatus according to claim 14 , wherein the recurrence relation among the common information bit index sets A corresponding respectively to the m polar code groups is:

16. An apparatus for encoding information in a communication system, comprising a processor and a non-transitory storage medium having processor-executable instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the apparatus to:

obtain K information bits, wherein K is greater than or equal to 1;

obtain a frozen bit index set comprising N−K indices from a common frozen bit index set, wherein the frozen bit index set corresponds to a polar code in a polar code group, and the common frozen bit index set corresponds to the polar code group, wherein polar codes in the polar code group have a same code length and different code rates, wherein N is greater than K; and

generate polar coded information bits by encoding the K information bits using the frozen bit index set.

17. The apparatus according to claim 16 , wherein each polar code in the polar code group corresponds to a frozen bit index set, frozen bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group have at least one common element.

18. The apparatus according to claim 16 ,

wherein the common frozen bit index set corresponding to the polar code group is a union of frozen bit index sets corresponding to all polar codes in the polar code group, or

wherein the common frozen bit index set is a frozen bit index set corresponding to a polar code with any code rate in the polar code group.

The apparatus according to claim 16 , wherein there is a recurrence relation among common frozen bit index sets corresponding respectively to m polar code groups, wherein m is greater than or equal to 2, and wherein the polar code group corresponding to the common information bit index is one of the m polar code groups.

20. The apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein the recurrence relation among the common frozen bit index sets A c corresponding respectively to the m polar code groups is:
