Abstract

Disclosed are a frame error concealment method and apparatus and an audio decoding method and apparatus. The frame error concealment (FEC) method includes: selecting an FEC mode based on at least one of a state of at least one frame and a phase matching flag, with regard to a time domain signal generated after time-frequency inverse transform processing; and performing corresponding time domain error concealment processing on the current frame based on the selected FEC mode, wherein the current frame is an error frame or the current frame is a normal frame when the previous frame is an error frame.

Claims (25)

1. A time domain frame error concealment apparatus comprising:

at least one processor configured to:

when a frame is classified as an error frame or a next good frame after the error frame, select one tool from among a plurality of tools including a first tool using phase matching and a second tool using repetition and smoothing, based on a plurality of parameters including stationarity of the frame, where the frame corresponds to a time domain signal generated after time-frequency inverse transform processing; and

perform a corresponding time domain error concealment processing on the frame, based on the selected tool,

wherein the first tool includes a first mode related to a single error frame, a second mode related to a burst error frame, and a third mode related to the next good frame after the error frame,

wherein the second tool includes a first mode related to the error frame, a second mode related to the next good frame after the single error frame, and a third mode related to the next good frame after the burst error frame, and

wherein the processor is configured to select the first tool for either the next good frame after the error frame or the burst error frame, when the first tool is used for the error frame.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of parameters include a parameter which is generated using energy and spectral coefficients of sub-bands in a good frame.

3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein when the first tool is selected, the processor is configured to perform the corresponding time domain error concealment processing, based on copying a phase-matched signal obtained from a plurality of previous good frames.

4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein when the first tool is selected and the frame is the single error frame, the processor is configured to perform the corresponding time domain error concealment processing, based on copying a phase-matched signal obtained from a plurality of previous good frames, to the frame and smoothing processing between the frame and adjacent frames.

5. The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the smoothing processing includes processing on a beginning part of the single error frame.

6. The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the smoothing processing includes processing on a beginning part and an end part of the single error frame.

7. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured further to perform a frequency domain error concealment processing on the frame when the frame is the single error frame or the burst error frame.

8. A time domain frame error concealment method comprising:

when a frame is classified as an error frame or a next good frame after the error frame, selecting one tool from among a plurality of tools including a first tool using phase matching and a second tool using repetition and smoothing, based on a plurality of parameters including stationarity of the frame, where the frame corresponds to a time domain signal generated after time-frequency inverse transform processing; and

performing a corresponding time domain error concealment processing on the frame, based on the selected tool,

wherein the first tool includes a first mode related to a single error frame, a second mode related to a burst error frame, and a third mode related to the next good frame after the error frame,

wherein the second tool includes a first mode related to the error frame, a second mode related to the next good frame after the single error frame, and a third mode related to the next good frame after the burst error frame, and

wherein the selecting comprises select the first tool for either the next good frame after the error frame or the burst error frame, when the first tool is used for the error frame.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of parameters include a parameter which is generated using energy and spectral coefficients of sub-bands in a good frame.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein when the first tool is selected, the performing the corresponding time domain error concealment processing is based on copying a phase-matched signal obtained from a plurality of previous good frames.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein when the first tool is selected and the frame is the single error frame, the performing the corresponding time domain error concealment processing is based on copying a phase-matched signal obtained from a plurality of previous good frames, to the frame and smoothing processing between the frame and adjacent frames.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the smoothing processing includes processing on a beginning part of the single error frame.

13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the smoothing processing includes processing on a beginning part and an end part of the single error frame.

14. The method of claim 8 further comprising performing a frequency domain error concealment processing on the frame when the frame is the single error frame or the burst error frame.
