Abstract

A fused aromatic derivative shown by the following formula (1): wherein R a and R b are independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent, p is an integer of 1 to 8 and q is an integer of 1 to 11, and when p and q are two or more, R a s and R b s may be independently the same or different, and adjacent substituents R a s may form a ring, L 1 is a single bond or a substituted or unsubstituted divalent linking group, and Ar 1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 50 ring carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, provided that when L 1 is a single bond and at least one of R a s is not a hydrogen atom, Ar 1 is not a triphenylenyl group, and provided that substituents of L 1 and Ar 1 , and R a and R b contain no amino group.

Claims (22)

1. A fused aromatic derivative shown by the following formula (1-1):

wherein R a and R b are independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent,

p is an integer of 1 to 8, and q is an integer of 1 to 11, when p or q is 2 or more, R a s or R b s may be independently the same or different,

and Ar 1 ′ is a substituted or unsubstituted dibenzofuranyl,

provided that substituents of Ar 1 ′ and R a and R b contain no amino group.

2. A material for an organic electroluminescence device comprising the fused aromatic derivative according to claim 1 .

3. The material for an organic electroluminescence derivative according to claim 2 , which is an emitting material.

4. An organic electroluminescence device comprising:

an anode, a cathode, and

one or more organic thin film layers comprising an emitting layer between the anode and the cathode,

wherein at least one of the organic thin film layers comprises the fused aromatic derivative according to claim 1 .

5. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 4 , wherein the emitting layer comprises the fused aromatic derivative.

6. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 5 , wherein the emitting layer comprises the fused aromatic derivative as a host material.

7. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 4 , wherein the emitting layer further comprises at least one of a fluorescent dopant and a phosphorescent dopant.

8. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 7 , wherein the fluorescent dopant is an arylamine compound.

9. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 7 , wherein the fluorescent dopant is a styrylamine compound.

10. The fused aromatic derivative according to claim 1 , which is shown by the following formula (1-1a):

wherein R a and Ar 1 ′ are the same as in the formula (1-1).

11. The fused aromatic derivative according to claim 1 , wherein Ar 1 ′ is a 1-dibenzofuranyl group, 2-dibenzofuranyl group, 3-dibenzofuranyl group, or 4-dibenzofuranyl group.

12. The fused aromatic derivative according to claim 1 , wherein R a and R b are a hydrogen atom.

13. The fused aromatic derivative according to claim 1 , wherein the substituted or unsubstituted dibenzofuranyl group is bonded to anthracene at 2nd position, 3rd position or 1st position of dibenzofuranyl or dibenzothiophenyl.

14. The fused aromatic derivative according to claim 13 , wherein Ar 1 ′ is a 2-dibenzofuranyl group, a 3-dibenzofuranyl group, or a 1-dibenzofuranyl group.
