Abstract

A displacement detecting apparatus includes: a detector which detects displacement, which is spatial displacement over time, of each of a plurality of measurement points which have been set on an object, using a plurality of images of the object captured at a plurality of time points; an extractor which extracts characteristic displacement specific to the object, based on the displacement detected by the detector; and a calculator which calculates overall displacement indicating displacement of the entirety of the object, from the characteristic displacement extracted by the extractor.

Claims (32)

1. A displacement detecting apparatus, comprising:

a detector which detects displacement of each of one or more reference measurement points and each of a plurality of measurement points, using a plurality of images of the object captured at a plurality of time points, the plurality of measurement points having been set on an object, the displacement being spatial displacement over time;

a corrector which detects a dominant motion in an entirety of each of the plurality of images, based on the displacement detected by the detector, and corrects the displacement of each of the plurality of measurement points detected by the detector, based on the displacement of each of the one or more reference measurement points that follows the dominant motion,

an extractor which extracts characteristic displacement specific to the object, based on the displacement corrected by the corrector; and

a calculator which calculates overall displacement indicating displacement of an entirety of the object, from the characteristic displacement extracted by the extractor.

2. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the detector detects, as the displacement, displacement of the object in the plurality of images captured,

the displacement detecting apparatus further comprising

a scaler which rescales the displacement of each of the plurality of measurement points detected by the detector, so as to reflect a ratio of distance of actual displacement between the plurality of measurement points,

wherein the calculator performs the calculation, based on the displacement resealed by the scaler.

3. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the one or more reference measurement points are not set on the object.

4. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 3 ,

wherein the corrector optimizes a parallel displacement correction amount and a rotational correction amount for each of the plurality of measurement points.

5. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the detector detects the displacement in units of pixels or sub pixels of the plurality of images captured.

6. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein each of the plurality of images captured is a speed image indicating speed,

the detector performs the detection so that displacement to be detected is represented using the speed, and

the extractor performs the extraction so that characteristic displacement to be extracted is represented using the speed.

7. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein each of the plurality of images captured is a distance image indicating a distance, and

the detector detects displacement in a three-dimensional space as the displacement.

8. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising

a superimposed image generator which generates a superimposed image in which an image based on the displacement calculated by the calculator is superimposed onto at least one of the plurality of images captured.

9. The displacement detecting apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the plurality of images captured include images of the object captured synchronously by a plurality of imaging apparatuses.

10. A displacement detecting method performed by a displacement detecting apparatus including a detector, an extractor, and a calculator, the displacement detecting method comprising:

detecting displacement of each of one or more reference measurement points and each of a plurality of measurement points, using a plurality of images of the object captured at a plurality of time points, the plurality of measurement points having been set on an object, the displacement being spatial displacement over time, the detecting being performed by the detector;

detecting a dominant motion in an entirety of each of the plurality of images, based on the displacement detected in the detecting of the displacement, and correcting the displacement of each of the plurality of measurement points detected in the detecting of the displacement, based on the displacement of each of the one or more reference measurement points that follows the dominant motion, the detecting of the dominant motion and correcting being performed by the corrector;

extracting characteristic displacement specific to the object, based on the displacement corrected in the correcting, the extracting being performed by the extractor; and

calculating overall displacement indicating displacement of an entirety of the object, from the characteristic displacement extracted in the extracting, the calculating being performed by the calculator.
