Abstract

Systems and methods are presented for a mobile device comprising an industrial internet application container comprising a database service for syncing data related to one or more industrial assets between a database of the mobile device and a data domain and syncing data between the data domain and the database of the mobile device.

Claims (53)

1. A mobile device comprising:

an industrial internet application for accessing, generating, and storing data related to one or more industrial assets;

a database storing the data related to the one or more industrial assets, information related to the industrial internet application, and information related to a user of the industrial internet application; and

an industrial internet application container comprising a database service for performing operations comprising:

syncing the data related to the one or more industrial assets between the database and a data domain by performing operations comprising:

detecting a change in at least one data object in the database;

generating a command for changing a data object in a data domain based on the change in the at least one data object in the database, the command comprising an identifier of a service to process the command and a data object; and

sending the command including the data object to an industrial asset cloud computing system; and

syncing data between the data domain and the database by performing operations comprising: receiving updated data from the industrial asset cloud computing system for changes made in the data domain and storing the updated data in the database,

wherein the industrial internet application container further comprises a boot service for sending instructions to start an application initialization process, and starting the application initialization process including loading an application for the first time or loading an updated version of the application.

2. The mobile device of claim 1 , the industrial internet application container further comprising a window service for performing operations comprising:

sending a request to the industrial asset cloud computing system to load a specified web page; and

causing the web page to load on the mobile device.

3. The mobile device of claim 1 , the industrial internet application container further comprising a notify service for performing operations comprising:

detecting a notification event condition; and

generating a notification to be displayed to a user.

The mobile device of claim 3 , wherein the notification event condition is one of a group comprising: a database change, an application is about to go into the background, change in the connectivity state of the mobile device, the mobile device currently replicating data from the data domain, and a specific time has been reached.

5. The mobile device of claim 1 , the industrial internet application container further comprising a user service for identifying a user that is currently logged into the mobile device.

6. The mobile device of claim 5 , wherein the user service identifies a user that is currently logged into the device by performing operations comprising:

retrieving, from the industrial asset cloud computing system, user information; and

sending, to the industrial asset cloud computing system, user data.

7. The mobile device of claim 1 , the industrial internet application container further comprising an authentication service for performing operations for authenticating a user of the mobile device, the operations comprising:

sending an authentication request to the industrial asset cloud computing system; and

receiving an authentication response message from the industrial asset cloud computing system.

8. The mobile device of claim 1 , wherein the database service comprises a data access high-level service and a data access low-level service.

9. The mobile device of claim 1 , wherein the industrial internet application comprises one or more web applications.

10. The mobile device of claim 1 , wherein the industrial internet application is a native application.

11. The mobile device of claim 1 , wherein the command and the data object are sent by the database service to the industrial asset cloud computing system via a restful services application programming interface.

12. The mobile device of claim 1 , wherein the industrial internet application container can be extended with custom services.

13. A method comprising:

syncing data related to one or more industrial assets between a database of a mobile device and a data domain, by the mobile device comprising an industrial internet application for accessing, generating, and storing data related to the one or more industrial assets, the mobile device further comprising the database storing the data related to the one or more industrial assets, information related to the industrial internet application, and information related to a user of the industrial internet application, and the mobile device further comprising an industrial application container comprising a database service, wherein syncing data related to one or more industrial assets between a database of a mobile device and a data domain comprises:

detecting a change in at least one data object in the database;

generating a command for changing a data object in a data domain based on the change in the at least one data object in the database, the command comprising an identifier of a service to process the command and a data object; and

sending the command including the data object to an industrial asset cloud computing system; and

syncing, by the mobile device, data between the data domain and the database by performing operations comprising:

receiving updated data from the industrial asset cloud computing system for changes made in the data domain and storing the updated data in the database,

wherein the method further comprises performing, via a boot service, operations comprising sending instructions to start an application initialization process, and starting the application initialization process, wherein starting the application initialization process includes loading an application for the first time or loading an updated version of the application.

14. The method of claim 13 , the industrial internet application container further comprising a window service for performing operations comprising:

sending a request to the industrial asset cloud computing system to load a specified web page; and

causing the web page to load on the mobile device.

15. The method of claim 13 , the industrial internet application container further comprising a notify service for performing operations comprising:

detecting a notification event condition; and

generating a notification to be displayed to a user.

16. The method of claim 13 , wherein the database service comprises a data access high-level service and a data access low-level service.

17. The method of claim 13 , wherein the industrial internet application container can be extended with custom services.

18. A computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored thereon that are executable by one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

syncing data related to one or more industrial assets between a database of a mobile device and a data domain, by the mobile device comprising an industrial internet application for accessing, generating, and storing data related to the one or more industrial assets, the mobile device further comprising the database storing the data related to the one or more industrial assets, information related to the industrial internet application, and information related to a user of the industrial internet application, and the mobile device further comprising an industrial application container comprising a database service, wherein syncing data related to one or more industrial assets between a database of a mobile device and a data domain comprises:

detecting a change in at least one data object in the database;

generating a command for changing a data object in a data domain based on the change in the at least one data object in the database, the command comprising an identifier of a service to process the command and a data object; and

sending the command including the data object to an industrial asset cloud computing system; and

syncing, by the mobile device, data between the data domain and the database by performing operations comprising:

receiving updated data from the industrial asset cloud computing system for changes made in the data domain and storing the updated data in the database,

wherein the instruction further comprises performing, via a boot service, operations comprising sending instructions to start an application initialization process, and starting the application initialization process, wherein starting the initialization process includes loading an application for the first time or loading an updated version of the application.
