Abstract

A system and method for assisting with interactions between agents and customers using an artificially intelligent assistant is disclosed. The artificially intelligent assistant monitors interactions between agents and customers and identifies assistive actions to be taken that increase efficiency of the interaction as well as customer satisfaction. The artificially intelligent agent can also identify new communication modes appropriate for assistive actions, allowing agents to seamlessly communicate with customers over a wide range of different communication modes, such as phone calls, texts, emails and other messaging applications.

Claims (53)

1. A method of assisting an agent in interacting with a customer over multiple communication modes, the assistance being performed by an artificially intelligent assistant, comprising the steps of:

monitoring the interaction between the agent and the customer, the interaction occurring by a first communication mode;

analyzing information related to the interaction and generating an assistive action, the assistive action requiring the use of a second communication mode that is different than the first communication mode; and

performing the assistive action, wherein part of performing the assistive action includes establishing communication with the customer through the second communication mode;

wherein the assistive action includes automatically filling out a form based on the information related to the interaction occurring by the first communication mode;

wherein the form is automatically transmitted to the customer by the artificially intelligent assistant using the second communication mode;

the method further comprising:

analyzing information related to a plurality of interactions with the customer; and

identifying at least one pattern associated with the customer based on the information related to the plurality of interactions with the customer.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first communication mode is a phone call.

3. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the second communication mode is an email.

4. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the second communication mode is a short message service.

5. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the second communication mode is mediated by a chat application.

6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first communication mode is mediated by a chat application.

7. The method according to claim 6 , wherein the second communication mode is a phone call.

8. The method according to claim 6 , wherein the second communication mode is an email.

9. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:

analyzing information related to a plurality of interactions with a plurality of customers; and

identifying at least one trend associated with the plurality of customers based on the information related to the plurality of interactions.

10. The method according to claim 1 , wherein analyzing information includes inputting the information into a machine learning model, and wherein the output of the machine learning model is used to generate the assistive action.

11. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the method includes a step of notifying the agent about the assistive action prior to performing the assistive action.

12. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the agent is a human agent.

13. A method of assisting an agent in an interaction with a customer, the assistance being performed by an artificially intelligent assistant, comprising the steps of:

analyzing information related to a plurality of interactions with the customer;

identifying at least one pattern associated with the customer based on the information related to the plurality of interactions with the customer;

retrieving a first set of information about a previous interaction with the customer from the plurality of interactions with the customer;

monitoring a current customer interaction with an agent and extracting a second set of information related to the current customer interaction;

analyzing the first set of information and the second set of information and generating an assistive action;

performing the assistive action;

wherein the current customer interaction occurs by a first communication mode;

wherein the assistive action includes automatically filling out a form based on at least one of the first set of information or the second set of information; and

wherein the form is automatically transmitted to the customer by the artificially intelligent assistant by a second communication mode that is different than the first communication mode.

14. The method according to claim 13 , wherein the previous interaction occurs between the customer and another agent.

15. The method according to claim 13 , wherein the previous interaction and the current interaction occur through different communication modes.

16. The method according to claim 15 , wherein performing the assistive action is preceded by a step of notifying the agent about the assistive action.

17. A system for assisting an agent in interacting with a customer over multiple communication modes, the system comprising:

a communication network configured to allow communication between an agent and a customer over multiple communication modes; and

an artificially intelligent assistant, wherein the artificially intelligent assistant is configured to:

monitor an interaction between the agent and the customer, the interaction occurring by a first communication mode;

analyze information related to the interaction and generate an assistive action, the assistive action requiring the use of a second communication mode that is different than the first communication mode;

perform the assistive action, wherein part of performing the assistive action includes establishing communication with the customer through the second communication mode;

wherein the assistive action includes automatically filling out a form based on the information related to the interaction occurring by the first communication mode;

wherein the form is automatically transmitted to the customer by the artificially intelligent assistant using the second communication mode;

wherein the artificially intelligent assistant is further configured to:

analyze information related to a plurality of interactions with the customer; and

identify at least one pattern associated with the customer based on the information related to the plurality of interactions with the customer.

18. The system according to claim 17 , wherein the first communication mode is a phone call and wherein the second communication mode is an email.

19. The system according to claim 17 , wherein the agent is a human agent.

20. The system according to claim 17 , wherein analyzing information includes inputting the information into a machine learning model, and wherein the output of the machine learning model is used to generate the assistive action.

21. The system according to claim 17 , wherein the artificially intelligent assistant is further configured to notify the agent about the assistive action prior to performing the assistive action.

22. The system according to claim 17 , wherein the artificially intelligent assistant is further configured to:

analyze information related to a plurality of interactions with a plurality of customers; and

identify at least one trend associated with the plurality of customers based on the information related to the plurality of interactions.
