Abstract

A managing system includes a waiting space managing unit that manages a plurality of waiting spaces for keeping a movable body waiting, classifying them into a first waiting space for first movable body having an automatic operation function and a second waiting space for a second movable body not having an automatic operation function. The waiting space managing unit may: manage a usage status of the first waiting space and a usage status of the second waiting space; and determine to change an area of at least one of the first waiting space and the second waiting space according to at least one of the usage status of the first waiting space and the usage status of the second waiting space.

Claims (40)

1. A managing system comprising a waiting space managing unit that manages a plurality of waiting spaces for keeping a vehicle waiting, classifying them into a first waiting space for a first vehicle having an automatic driving function for driving without a human operator and a second waiting space for a second vehicle not having an automatic driving function, wherein

the waiting space managing unit:

communicates with the vehicle to identify a driving mode;

manages a usage status of the first waiting space and a usage status of the second waiting space; and

determines to change an area of at least one of the first waiting space and the second waiting space according to at least one of the usage status of the first waiting space and the usage status of the second waiting space.

2. The managing system according to claim 1 , wherein a sum of an area of the first waiting space and an area of the second waiting space is constant.

3. The managing system according to claim 1 , wherein a sum of an area of the first waiting space and an area of the second waiting space is not constant.

4. The managing system according to claim 3 , further comprising a waiting space information storing unit that stores, in association with each other, positional information about each space among a plurality of spaces available as the first waiting space or the second waiting space, and information related to a period during which the space can be used as the first waiting space or the second waiting space, wherein

if it is determined to increase an area of the first waiting space or the second waiting space, the waiting space managing unit refers to information stored in the waiting space information storing unit, and extracts a space to be used as the first waiting space or the second waiting space from the plurality of spaces.

5. The managing system according to claim 1 , further comprising an entrance restricting unit that restricts entrance of the second vehicle into the first waiting space.

6. The managing system according to claim 5 , wherein

the entrance restricting unit has:

an identification signal receiving unit that receives, from the first vehicle, an identification signal indicating that an automatic driving mode is set; and

a gate portion that allows entrance of the first vehicle into the first waiting space if the identification signal receiving unit receives the identification signal.

7. A managing system comprising:

a waiting space managing unit that manages a plurality of waiting spaces for keeping a vehicle waiting, classifying them into a first waiting space for a first vehicle having an automatic driving function for driving without a human operator and a second waiting space for a second vehicle not having an automatic driving function; and

an entrance restricting unit that restricts entrance of the second vehicle into the first waiting space, wherein

the entrance restricting unit has:

an identification signal receiving unit that receives, from the first vehicle, an identification signal indicating that an automatic driving mode is set; and

a gate portion that allows entrance of the first vehicle into the first waiting space if the identification signal receiving unit receives the identification signal,

the waiting space managing unit has:

a gate position determining unit that determines an installation position of the gate portion; and

a gate position transmitting unit that transmits, to the gate portion, positional information about the gate determined by the gate position determining unit, and

the gate portion moves by an automatic operation to a position indicated by the positional information about the gate received from the gate position transmitting unit.

8. A managing system comprising:

a waiting space managing unit that manages a plurality of waiting spaces for keeping a vehicle waiting, classifying them into a first waiting space for a first vehicle having an automatic driving function for driving without a human operator and a second waiting space for a second vehicle not having an automatic driving function; and

an entrance restricting unit that restricts entrance of the second vehicle into the first waiting space, wherein

the entrance restricting unit has a fence portion including a movable partitioning member that partitions the first waiting space and the second waiting space,

the waiting space managing unit communicates with the vehicle to identify a driving mode, and has:

a boundary determining unit that determines a boundary between the first waiting space and the second waiting space; and

a boundary position transmitting unit that transmits, to the fence portion, positional information about the boundary determined by the boundary determining unit, and

the fence portion uses the partitioning member to install a physical partition at a position indicated by the positional information about the boundary received from the boundary position transmitting unit.

9. The managing system according to claim 8 , wherein the fence portion moves by an automatic operation to the position indicated by the positional information about the boundary received from the boundary position transmitting unit.

10. The managing system according to claim 1 , wherein the vehicle is one of an engined vehicle, an electric automobile, a fuel cell vehicle, a hybrid vehicle, and a movable work machine.

11. The managing system according to claim 1 , comprising

an entrance restricting unit that restricts entrance of the second vehicle into the first waiting space while not restricting entrance of the first vehicle into the first waiting space, wherein

the waiting space managing unit further causes an installation position of the entrance restricting unit to be moved by an automatic operation in response to a determination to change the area of the at least one of the first waiting space and the second waiting space, and

the entrance restricting unit has:

a control unit that receives, from the first vehicle, an identification signal indicating that an automatic driving mode is set; and

a movable fence including a banner that is installed on a ceiling and allows entrance of the first vehicle into the first waiting space if the control unit receives the identification signal that the automatic driving mode is set by allowing the first vehicle to enter beyond the banner.
