Abstract

Systems and methods for extracting polarized sub-signals from a dual-polarized signal includes isolating the polarized sub-signals using one or more filters. When a single filter is used to derive a first sub-signal, analog interference cancellation may be used to derive the second sub-signal. When two filters are used, the first and second sub-signals may each be derived using a corresponding filter.

11. The electronic device of claim 10 , wherein the second processing circuitry comprises a processor or an antenna.

12. Isolation circuitry, comprising:

an input configured to receive a dual-polarized signal having a first polarized component having a first frequency and a second polarized component have a second frequency;

an N-path filter having a frequency response configured to remove the second polarized component from the dual-polarized signal to derive a first signal having the first polarized component;

a delay configured to delay the first signal to be out of phase with the first polarized component of the dual-polarized signal;

summing circuitry configured to add the delayed first signal to the dual-polarized signal to cancel out the first polarized component of the dual-polarized signal to generate a second signal having the second polarized component;
