Abstract

Disclosed are a method for reporting channel state information by a terminal and, a device for supporting the same. More particularly, disclosed are a method in which a base station transmits a signal using a plurality of analog beams, and a terminal calculates channel state information feedback and reports the channel state information to the base station, in response to the base station, and a device for supporting the same.

Claims (33)

1. A method of transmitting channel state information (CSI) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a base station (BS), information on at least one CSI resource, wherein the information further comprises information on at least one analog beam respectively related to the at least one CSI resource, and information on whether at least one CSI report carries reception state information;

receiving, from the BS, downlink control information requesting a first number of CSI reports; and

transmitting, to the BS, a second number of CSI reports based on a certain number of CSI resources,

wherein, based on the first number of CSI reports being greater than the second number of CSI reports, the second number of the CSI reports among the first number of CSI reports is updated based on maximum CSI calculation capability of the UE.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein transmitting the second number of CSI reports comprises:

assigning, based on the maximum CSI calculation capability of the UE and a predetermined criterion, priority to first number of CSI reports; and

transmitting the second number of CSI reports based on the priority.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource index (CRI) is transmitted in a CSI report based on the CSI report carrying the reception state information, and the reception state information includes reference signal recpetion signal power (RSRP).

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one CSI resource comprises at least one of at least one channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource, or at least one channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) resource.

5. A user equipment (UE) for transmitting channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

a transmitter;

a receiver; and

at least one processor coupled with the transmitter and the receiver,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

receive, from a base station (BS), information on at least one CSI resource, wherein the information further comprises information on at least one analog beam respectively related to the at least one CSI resource, and information on whether at least one CSI report carries reception state information;

receiving, from the BS, downlink control information requesting a first number of CSI reports; and

transmit, to the BS, a second number of CSI reports based on a certain number of CSI resources,

wherein, based on the first number of CSI reports being greater than the second number of CSI reports, the second number of the CSI reports among the first number of CSI reports is updated based on maximum CSI calculation capability of the UE.

6. The UE of claim 5 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:

assign, based on the maximum CSI calculation capability of the UE and a predetermined criterion, priority to the first number of CSI reports; and,

transmit the second number of CSI reports based on the priority.

7. The UE of claim 5 , wherein a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource index (CRI) is transmitted in a CSI report based on the CSI report carrying the reception state information, and the reception state information includes RSRP.

8. The UE of claim 5 , wherein the at least one CSI resource comprises at least one of at least one channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource, or at least one channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) resource.

9. A base station (BS) for receiving channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system, the BS comprising:

a transmitter;

a receiver; and

at least one processor coupled with the transmitter and the receiver,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

transmit, to a user equipment (UE), information on at least one CSI resource, wherein the information further comprises information on at least one analog beam respectively related to the at least one CSI resource, and information on whether at least one CSI report carries reception state information;

transmit, to the UE, downlink control information requesting a first number of CSI reports; and

receive, from the UE, a second number of CSI reports based on a certain number of CSI resources,

wherein, based on the first number of CSI reports being greater than the second number of CSI reports, the second number of the CSI reports among the first number of CSI reports is updated based on maximum CSI calculation capability of the UE.
