Proxisome proliferator activated receptor (PPAR) compounds and methods of using the same
Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor (PPAR) compounds, and methods of using the same for treating bone fractures, treating osteoporosis and/or metabolic bone diseases, and inducing osteogenesis and/or chondrogenesis, are disclosed.
1. A compound comprising a structural formula of Formula I which comprises JF-4-80:
wherein:
X is S;
R 1 is H;
R 2 is H;
R 3 is CF 3 ;
R 4 is F; and
R 5 is H;
and salts, isomers, stereoisomers, enantiomers, racemates, solvates, hydrates, polymorphs, and prodrugs thereof.
2. A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
a compound of any of claim 1 , and
a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient, diluent, or adjuvant.
3. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , wherein the compound is present at a concentration ranging from about 0.1 μM to about 1 μM.
