Abstract

A computerized method for enforcing a set of policies on a first network device is disclosed. The computerized method includes operations by logic processing on the first network device including detecting movement of the first network at a speed above a predetermined threshold and presence of a wireless transceiver, implementing the set of policies on the first network device, wherein implementation of the set of policies is configured to restrict functionality of the first network device according to a predefined list of functionalities, monitoring sensory data associated with the first network device, determining that the sensory data violates a first policy of the set of policies, and responsive to determining that the sensory data violates the first policy, transmitting an alert to an administrator. An additional operation includes transmitting a message to the wireless transceiver to perform a scan for additional network devices.

performing a set of operations including (i) monitoring sensory data associated with the first network device, (ii) determining that the sensory data violates a first policy of the set of policies, and (iii) transmitting an alert indicating a violation of the first policy; and

responsive to detecting the movement of the first network device at the speed above the predetermined threshold and the presence of the wireless transceiver, transmitting a message to the wireless transceiver that includes instructions for the wireless transceiver to perform a scan for additional network devices.

8. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 7 , wherein the instructions being executable by the one or more processors to perform operations further comprising:

transmitting, by the logic processing on the first network device, a message to the wireless transceiver that includes instructions for the wireless transceiver to perform a scan for additional network devices.

9. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 7 , wherein restricting the functionality of the first network device includes removing icons from a display screen of the first network device.

10. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 7 , wherein the sensory data includes data obtained through one or more sensors including at least one of an accelerometer, a global positioning system (GPS) unit, a gyroscope and a vibration sensor.

11. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 7 , wherein the instructions being executable by the one or more processors to perform operations further comprising:
