Checkpoint inhibitor and vaccine combinations and use of same for immunotherapy
Disclosed herein is a vaccine comprising an antigen and checkpoint inhibitor. Also disclosed herein is a method for enhancing an immune response in a subject. The method may comprise administering the vaccine to the subject in need thereof.
1. A composition for generating hTERT-specific CD3+CD8+ T cells displaying double release of the cytokines IFNγ and TNFα in a subject in need thereof, comprising:
a) a monoclonal TIM-3 antibody or a monoclonal LAG-3 antibody, and
b) a nucleic acid molecule comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a synthetic hTERT antigen.
2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the synthetic antigen is an isolated DNA that encodes for the antigen.
3. The composition of claim 1 , further comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
