Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for joining an IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transfer rate than a 4G system, and a system thereof. The disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (for example, a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or a connected car, a health care, a digital education, retailing, security and safe-related service, etc.) on the basis of a 5G communication technology and an IoT related technology. The present disclosure relates to a wireless communication system, and to a method and an apparatus for smoothly providing a service in a communication system. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving downlink and uplink control information within a communication system.

Claims (36)

1. A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) associated with a transport block, wherein at least one code block is included in the transport block, and a new data indicator, one bit information for combining, and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number information are included in the DCI; and

receiving, from the base station, the at least one code block based on the new data indicator, the one bit information for combining, and the HARQ process number information included in the DCI,

wherein in case that the new data indicator is associated with retransmission and a value of the one bit information for combining is 1, the received at least one code block is combinable with an earlier received at least one code block, and

wherein in case that the new data indicator is associated with retransmission and the value of the one bit information for combining is 0, the received at least one code block is not combinable with the earlier received at least one code block.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one code block is identified among total code blocks for the transport block.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein inclusion of the one bit information for combining in the DCI is configured for a specific frequency.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one bit information for combining is applied to all of the received at least one code block.

5. A method performed by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting, to a terminal, downlink control information (DCI) associated with a transport block, wherein at least one code block is included in the transport block, and a new data indicator, one bit information for combining, and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number information are included in the DCI; and

transmitting, to the terminal, the at least one code block based on the new data indicator, the one bit information for combining, and the HARQ process number information included in the DCI,

wherein in case that the new data indicator is associated with retransmission and a value of the one bit information for combining is 1, the transmitted at least one code block is combinable with an earlier transmitted at least one code block, and

wherein in case that the new data indicator is associated with retransmission and the value of the one bit information for combining is 0, the transmitted at least one code block is not combinable with the earlier transmitted at least one code block.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the at least one code block is identified among total code blocks for the transport block.

7. The method of claim 5 , wherein inclusion of the one bit information for combining in the DCI is configured for a specific frequency.

8. The method of claim 5 , wherein the one bit information for combining is applied to all of the transmitted at least one code block.

9. A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:

a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal; and

a controller configured to:

receive, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) associated with a transport block, wherein at least one code block is included in the transport block, and a new data indicator, one bit information for combining, and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number information are included in the DCI, and

receive, from the base station, the at least one code block based on the new data indicator, the one bit information for combining, and the HARQ process number information included in the DCI,

wherein in case that the new data indicator is associated with retransmission and a value of the one bit information for combining is 1, the received at least one code block is combinable with an earlier received at least one code block, and

wherein in case that the new data indicator is associated with retransmission and the value of the one bit information for combining is 0, the received at least one code block is not combinable with the earlier received at least one code block.

10. The terminal of claim 9 , wherein the at least one code block is identified among total code blocks for the transport block.

11. The terminal of claim 9 , wherein inclusion of the one bit information for combining in the DCI is configured for a specific frequency.

12. The terminal of claim 9 , wherein the one bit information for combining is applied to all of the received at least one code block.

13. A base station in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal; and

a controller configured to:

transmit, to a terminal, downlink control information (DCI) associated with a transport block, wherein at least one code block is included in the transport block, and a new data indicator, one bit information for combining, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number information are included in the DCI, and

transmit, to the terminal, the at least one code block based on the new data indicator, the one bit information for combining, and the HARQ process number information included in the DCI,
