Abstract

A holding device for cards and/or notes includes a housing, which includes at least one clip and a base. The holding device is so designed that production is simplified, wherein secure storage of individual or multiple cards and/or notes is made possible. To this end, the base of the housing, which is open at the top toward the at least one clip, includes upwardly projecting side ridges, which are disposed at a distance from each other and, if no cards or notes are disposed in the housing, each of the at least one clip is located partially between the side ridges and has a free end extending at least approximately to the bottom plane of the base.

Claims (13)

1. A holding device configured to hold cards and/or notes, the holding device comprising:

a housing;

at least one clip; and

a cover that is flexible and connected to a connecting element of the housing by way of at least one connecting body or a tab of the cover, wherein

the housing comprises a base,

the base is open upwards towards the at least one clip,

a cut-out is formed through the base,

the base further comprises a first side ridge and a second side ridge, which protrude upward and are arranged at a distance to each other,

the at least one clip is so configured that, when no cards or notes are placed in the housing, the at least one clip is located partially between the first and the second side ridge and a respective free end of each of the at least one clip extends into the cut-out,

the at least one clip is so configured that when a card or note or a stack of cards or notes is placed in the housing with the cover being open and with an uppermost surface of said card or note or said stack of said cards or notes being held by the at least one clip, said uppermost surface of said card or note or said stack of said cards or notes is covered only by the at least one clip,

the cut-out is sufficiently large to allow a user of the holding device to move, with use of two fingers or thumbs, at least one of the cards or notes being held in the holding device under the at least one clip,

a width of the at least one clip is sufficiently smaller than a width of the cut-out to allow a user of the holding device to reach with a finger through the cut-out at either side of the clip to press down on the uppermost of the cards or notes thereby to reduce retaining force of the clip to facilitate removal of a card or note from the holding device, and

the cut-out formed through the base is larger than half of the overall area of the base and the overall area of the base is defined by the first side ridge, the second side ridge, a connecting ridge disposed between the first side ridge and the second side ridge, and a front edge of the base that is located opposite with respect to the connecting ridge of the base.
