Abstract

A firearm mounting plate assembly is provided. The firearm mounting plate assembly includes a firearm slide with a first side, a second side, and a top side. A recess defined by a first slide wall, a second slide wall, and a recess base surface is disposed on the firearm slide top side. The recess includes a rib, a slot, and a ejector projection. Adjacent to the recess is a catch. The firearm mounting plate assembly includes a mounting plate with a top surface, a bottom surface, a front side, and a rear side. An ejector notch and a channel is disposed along the bottom surface. The mounting plate includes a stud, one or more bosses, and an anchor. The mounting plate is configured to secure within the recess of the firearm slide.

Claims (17)

1. A firearm sight mounting plate assembly, comprising:

a firearm slide comprising a top side with a recess; and

a mounting plate configured to be secured within the recess,

wherein the mounting plate comprises an aperture that is accessible from the top side of the slide for securing a fastener therethrough to secure the mounting plate to the firearm slide,

wherein the mounting plate comprises a dovetail slot,

wherein the mounting plate comprises an optic base surface extending between a first plate wall and a second plate wall, and

wherein the dovetail slot is disposed above the optic base surface.

2. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 1 , wherein the dovetail slot is configured to secure an iron sight to the mounting plate.

3. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 2 , wherein the dovetail slot is disposed about a rear of the mounting plate.

4. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 2 , wherein the dovetail slot is disposed about a front of the mounting plate.

5. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 2 , wherein the dovetail slot is disposed about a rear of the mounting plate.

6. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 1 , wherein the aperture is disposed through the optic base surface between the first plate wall and the second plate wall.

7. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 1 , wherein the mounting plate comprises a boss on the optic base surface between the first plate wall and the second plate wall.

8. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 1 , wherein the aperture comprises a plurality of apertures.

9. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 1 , wherein the recess comprises a socket configured to receive the fastener.

10. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 1 , wherein the recess comprises an ejector projection.

11. The firearm sight mounting plate assembly of claim 10 , wherein the mounting plate comprises an ejector notch disposed on the bottom surface configured to receive the ejector projection.
