Abstract

The present invention discloses compounds of Formula (I), or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, esters, or prodrugs thereof: which inhibit Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). The present invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the aforementioned compounds for administration to a subject suffering from RSV infection. The invention also relates to methods of treating an RSV infection in a subject by administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compounds of the present invention.

Claims (16)

1. A compound of Formula (IVa-1) or (VIb-1),

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein

R 4 is

and R 4 is substituted with at least one group selected from the group consisting of CH 3 , CN, fluoro, chloro, CH 3 O—, CH 3 C(O)—, CH 3 OCH 2 —, CH 3 OCH 2 CH 2 O—, —CF 3 , CF 3 O—,

and

R 6 is hydrogen or fluorine.

2. The compound of claim 1 , wherein R 4 is substituted with at least one group selected from CH 3 , —CF 3 ,

8. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of claim 1 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.

9. A method of treating a respiratory syncytial virus infection in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

10. The method of claim 6 , wherein the subject is a human.
