Abstract

Embodiments are described herein for systems and methods for continuously monitoring a network structure of one or more networks using a cloud-based network monitoring system, and rearranging, using the cloud-based network monitoring system, the network structure of the one or more networks to protect confidential and/or prioritized assets of the one or more networks based at least in part on the monitoring of the network structure of the one or more networks. In certain embodiments, the cloud-based network monitoring system is configured to continuously monitor a network structure of one or more networks, and to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks to protect confidential and/or prioritized assets of the one or more networks based at least in part on the continuous monitoring of the network structure of the one or more networks.

Claims (23)

1. A cloud-based network security structuring system, comprising:

a cloud-based network monitoring system configured to continuously monitor a network structure of one or more networks, and to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks to protect confidential and/or prioritized assets of the one or more networks based at least in part on the continuous monitoring of the network structure of the one or more networks, wherein automatically rearranging the network structure of the one or more networks comprises moving a first computer file stored in the one or more networks to a first network of the one or more networks and moving a second computer file stored in the one or more networks to a second network of the one or more networks, and wherein the cloud-based network monitoring system comprises a plurality of decentralized computing devices configured to collectively continuously monitor the network structure remotely as a cloud-based group of computing resources.

2. The cloud-based network security structuring system of claim 1 , wherein the cloud-based network monitoring system is configured to automatically identify one or more computing devices of the one or more networks, and to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks based at least in part on a security level of the identified one or more computing devices of the one or more networks.

3. The cloud-based network security structuring system of claim 1 , wherein the cloud-based network monitoring system is configured to automatically identify computer files stored in the one or more networks, and to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks based at least in part on the identified computer files stored in the one or more networks.

4. The cloud-based network security structuring system of claim 3 , wherein the cloud-based network monitoring system is configured to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks based at least in part on a confidentiality level and/or a priority level of the computer files stored in the one or more networks.

5. The cloud-based network security structuring system of claim 1 , wherein the cloud-based network monitoring system is configured to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks by moving one or more network branches of the one or more networks, moving access to one or more computing devices of the one or more networks, or moving one of more computer files stored in the one or more networks behind at least one firewall of the one or more networks.

6. The cloud-based network security structuring system of claim 1 , wherein the cloud-based network monitoring system is configured to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks by moving access to a first computing device of the one or more networks to a first network of the one or more networks and moving access to a second computing device of the one or more networks to a second network of the one or more networks.

7. The cloud-based network security structuring system of claim 6 , wherein moving access to the first computing device of the one or more networks to the first network of the one or more networks and moving access to the second computing device of the one or more networks to the second network of the one or more networks is based at least in part on a relative security level between the first and second computing devices.

8. The cloud-based network security structuring system of claim 1 , wherein moving the first computer file stored in the one or more networks to the first network of the one or more networks and moving the second computer file stored in the one or more networks to the second network of the one or more networks is based at least in part on a relative confidentiality level and/or a relative priority level between the first and second computer files.

9. A method, comprising:

continuously monitoring a network structure of one or more networks using a cloud-based network monitoring system that includes a plurality of decentralized computing devices configured to collectively continuously monitor the network structure remotely as a cloud-based group of computing resources; and

automatically rearranging, using the cloud-based network monitoring system, the network structure of the one or more networks to protect confidential and/or prioritized assets of the one or more networks based at least in part on the continuous monitoring of the network structure of the one or more networks, wherein automatically rearranging the network structure of the one or more networks comprises moving a first computer file stored in the one or more networks to a first network of the one or more networks and moving a second computer file stored in the one or more networks to a second network of the one or more networks.

10. The method of claim 9 , comprising using the cloud-based network monitoring system to automatically identify one or more network branches of the one or more networks, and to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks based at least in part on the identified one or more network branches of the one or more networks.

11. The method of claim 9 , comprising using the cloud-based network monitoring system to automatically identify one or more computing devices of the one or more networks, and to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks based at least in part on a security level of the identified one or more computing devices of the one or more networks.

12. The method of claim 9 , comprising using the cloud-based network monitoring system to automatically identify computer files stored in the one or more networks, and to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks based at least in part on the identified computer files stored in the one or more networks.

13. The method of claim 12 , comprising using the cloud-based network monitoring system to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks based at least in part on a confidentiality level and/or a priority level of the computer files stored in the one or more networks.

14. The method of claim 9 , comprising using the cloud-based network monitoring system to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks by moving one or more network branches of the one or more networks, moving access to one or more computing devices of the one or more networks, or moving one of more computer files stored in the one or more networks behind at least one firewall of the one or more networks.

15. The method of claim 9 , comprising using the cloud-based network monitoring system to automatically rearrange the network structure of the one or more networks by moving access to a first computing device of the one or more networks to a first network of the one or more networks and moving access to a second computing device of the one or more networks to a second network of the one or more networks.

16. The method of claim 15 , wherein moving access to the first computing device of the one or more networks to the first network of the one or more networks and moving access to the second computing device of the one or more networks to the second network of the one or more networks is based at least in part on a relative security level between the first and second computing devices.

17. The method of claim 9 , wherein moving the first computer file stored in the one or more networks to the first network of the one or more networks and moving the second computer file stored in the one or more networks to the second network of the one or more networks is based at least in part on a relative confidentiality level and/or a relative priority level between the first and second computer files.
