Abstract

An application specific wallet function of a blockchain wallet provides a method in which blockchain tokens may be assigned for specific uses and other uses can be prevented. The application specific wallet function can be configured to allow tokens to only be used on some or all of the applications hosted on or available through the blockchain, and can also be configured to prevent tokens from being utilized for any purpose outside of the use intended by the network host or provisioner. This can ensure that the wallet owner uses the tokens for blockchain applications and can prevent the wallet owner from trading or selling the tokens on a cryptocurrency exchange.

Claims (29)

1. A system for providing an application specific blockchain wallet comprising:

one or more storage devices storing one or more blockchains;

a plurality of tokens associated with the one or more blockchains; and

one or more processors that execute machine readable instructions to:

provide a blockchain wallet that limits a subset of the plurality of tokens to one or more application specific purposes by storing the subset of the plurality of tokens in an internal wallet of the blockchain wallet, wherein any tokens in the internal wallet are only used for the one or more application specific purposes and the blockchain wallet allows use of any other tokens for one or more other purposes; and

store non-private information recording the use of the tokens in the internal wallet for the one or more application specific purposes and the use of the other tokens for the one or more other purposes on the one or more blockchains.

2. The system for providing a blockchain wallet of claim 1 , wherein the one or more other purposes are selected from the group consisting of token purchases with the blockchain wallet, token sales from the blockchain wallet, or token trading with the blockchain wallet.

3. The system for providing a blockchain wallet of claim 1 , wherein the one or more application specific purposes prevent token conversion.

4. The system for providing a blockchain wallet of claim 1 , wherein the one or more other purposes comprise token trading for fiat currency or one or more tokens with the blockchain wallet.

5. The system for providing a blockchain wallet of claim 1 , wherein the subset of the plurality of tokens includes one or more tokens added to the subset of the plurality of tokens by a wallet owner.

6. The system for providing a blockchain wallet of claim 1 , wherein at least one of subset of the plurality of tokens is preloaded in the internal wallet.

7. A computer-implemented method of providing an application specific digital wallet for a blockchain comprising:

providing a blockchain wallet comprising an internal wallet;

storing a subset of the plurality of blockchain tokens in the internal wallet;

wherein any blockchain tokens in the internal wallet are only used for one or more application specific purposes and the blockchain wallet allows use of any other blockchain tokens for one or more other purposes; and

storing non-private information recording the use of the blockchain tokens in the internal wallet for the one or more application specific purposes and the use of the other blockchain tokens for the one or more other purposes on the blockchain.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more other purposes are selected from the group consisting of token transfers out of the blockchain wallet, token sales from the blockchain wallet, or token trading with the blockchain wallet.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more application specific purposes prevent token conversion.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more other purposes comprise token trading for fiat currency or one or more tokens with the blockchain wallet.

11. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , further comprising presenting a user interface including a first balance representing the value of the other blockchain tokens and a second balance representing the value of the blockchain tokens in the internal wallet.

12. A non-transient storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors of a system for providing an application specific digital wallet for a blockchain to:

provide a blockchain wallet comprising an internal wallet;

store a subset of the plurality of blockchain tokens in the internal wallet;

wherein any blockchain tokens in the internal wallet are only used for one or more application specific purposes and the blockchain wallet allows use of any other blockchain tokens for one or more other purposes; and

store non-private information recording the use of the blockchain tokens in the internal wallet for the one or more application specific purposes and the use of the other blockchain tokens for the one or more other purposes on the blockchain.

13. The non-transient storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the one or more other purposes are selected from the group consisting of token transfers out of the blockchain wallet, token sales from the blockchain wallet, or token trading with the blockchain wallet.

14. The non-transient storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the one or more application specific purposes prevent token conversion.

15. The non-transient storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the one or more other purposes comprise token trading for fiat currency or one or more tokens with the blockchain wallet.

16. The non-transient storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the one or more processors to present a user interface including a first balance representing the value of the other blockchain tokens and a second balance representing the value of the plurality of blockchain tokens in the internal wallet.
