Abstract

A dielectric composition includes dielectric particles. At least one of the dielectric particles include a main phase and a secondary phase. The main phase has a main component of barium titanate. The secondary phase exists inside the main phase and has a higher barium content than the main phase.

Claims (23)

1. A dielectric composition comprising dielectric particles, wherein at least one of the dielectric particles include:

a main phase having a main component of barium titanate; and

a secondary phase existing inside the main phase and having a higher barium content than the main phase, and

a ratio (Ba/Ti) of a barium element content to a titanium element content in the secondary phase is 1.2-2.0.

2. The dielectric composition according to claim 1 , wherein the secondary phase has a particle size of 10 nm or more and 100 nm or less.

3. The dielectric composition according to claim 1 , wherein an area ratio occupied by the dielectric particles each including the secondary phase in a cross section of the dielectric composition is 30-80%.

4. A multilayer ceramic electronic component comprising the dielectric composition according to claim 1 .

5. The dielectric composition according to claim 1 , wherein the dielectric particles include large particles having a circle equivalent diameter of 0.5 μm or more and small particles having a circle equivalent diameter of less than 0.5 μm, and

the secondary phase is included in at least a portion of the large particles.

6. The dielectric composition according to claim 5 , wherein a ratio of an area occupied by the large particles each including the secondary phase to an area occupied by the large particles in a cross section of the dielectric composition is 50% or more.

7. The dielectric composition according to claim 6 , wherein a ratio of the area occupied by the large particles in the cross section of the dielectric composition is 50-90%.

8. The dielectric composition according to claim 5 , wherein a ratio of an area occupied by the large particles in a cross section of the dielectric composition is 50-90%.

9. A dielectric composition comprising dielectric particles, wherein at least one of the dielectric particles include:

a main phase having a main component of barium titanate; and

a secondary phase existing inside the main phase and having a higher barium content than the main phase,

the dielectric particles include large particles having a circle equivalent diameter of 0.5 μm or more and small particles having a circle equivalent diameter of less than 0.5 μm, and

the secondary phase is included in at least a portion of the large particles.

10. The dielectric composition according to claim 9 , wherein a ratio of an area occupied by the large particles each including the secondary phase to an area occupied by the large particles in a cross section of the dielectric composition is 50% or more.

11. The dielectric composition according to claim 10 , wherein a ratio of the area occupied by the large particles in the cross section of the dielectric composition is 50-90%.

12. The dielectric composition according to claim 9 , wherein a ratio of an area occupied by the large particles in a cross section of the dielectric composition is 50-90%.

13. The dielectric composition according to claim 9 , wherein the secondary phase has a particle size of 10 nm or more and 100 nm or less.

14. The dielectric composition according to claim 9 , wherein an area ratio occupied by the dielectric particles each including the secondary phase in a cross section of the dielectric composition is 30-80%.

15. A multilayer ceramic electronic component comprising the dielectric composition according to claim 9 .
