Electrified military vehicle
An energy storage system for a military vehicle includes a lower support, a battery supported on the lower support, a bracket coupled to the battery, and an upper isolator mount coupled between the bracket and a wall. The upper isolator mount is configured to provide front-to-back vibration isolation of the battery relative to the wall.
1. An energy storage system for a military vehicle, the energy storage system comprising:
a lower support;
a battery supported on the lower support;
a bracket coupled to the battery; and
an upper isolator mount coupled between the bracket and a wall, wherein the upper isolator mount is configured to provide front-to-back vibration isolation of the battery relative to the wall.
2. The energy storage system of claim 1 , further comprising a battery storage housing enclosing the battery.
3. The energy storage system of claim 2 , wherein the bracket is coupled to the battery storage housing.
4. The energy storage system of claim 1 , wherein the upper isolator mount includes a rod extending between the bracket and the wall.
5. The energy storage system of claim 1 , wherein the upper isolator mount includes a single upper isolator mount generally centered with respect to the bracket.
6. The energy storage system of claim 1 , further comprising a lower isolator mount coupled between the lower support and the battery.
7. The energy storage system of claim 6 , wherein the lower support defines a recess within which the lower isolator mount is received.
8. The energy storage system of claim 6 , wherein the lower isolator mount includes two or more lower isolator mounts comprising a vibration attenuating material.
9. An energy storage system for a military vehicle, the energy storage system comprising:
a battery;
a battery storage housing enclosing the battery and defining a first end and a second end;
a lower support coupled to the first end of the battery storage housing; and
an upper isolator mount including a rod coupled between the second end of the battery storage housing and a wall.
10. The energy storage system of claim 9 , wherein the upper isolator mount is configured to provide front-to-back vibration isolation of the battery relative to the wall.
11. The energy storage system of claim 9 , further comprising a bracket coupled to the second end of the battery storage housing.
12. The energy storage system of claim 11 , wherein the upper isolator mount includes a single upper isolator mount generally centered with respect to the bracket.
13. The energy storage system of claim 9 , further comprising a lower isolator mount coupled between the lower support and the battery.
14. The energy storage system of claim 13 , wherein the lower support defines a recess within which the lower isolator mount is received.
15. The energy storage system of claim 13 , wherein the lower isolator mount includes two or more lower isolator mounts comprising a vibration attenuating material.
16. An energy storage system for a military vehicle, the energy storage system comprising:
a battery;
a battery storage housing enclosing the battery;
a lower support coupled the battery storage housing so that a weight of the battery is supported by the lower support; and
an upper isolator mount coupled between the battery storage housing and a wall, wherein the upper isolator mount is configured to provide front-to-back vibration isolation of the battery storage housing relative to the wall.
17. The energy storage system of claim 16 , further comprising a bracket coupled to the battery storage housing, and wherein the upper isolator mount includes a rod extending between the bracket and the wall.
18. The energy storage system of claim 16 , further comprising a lower isolator mount coupled between the lower support and the battery.
19. The energy storage system of claim 18 , wherein the lower support defines a recess within which the lower isolator mount is received.
20. The energy storage system of claim 18 , wherein the lower isolator mount includes two or more lower isolator mounts comprising a vibration attenuating material.
