Abstract

A wireless device receives, from a base station, at least one first message comprising a first periodicity of resources of a configured periodic grant of a first type. A request for transmission information associated with the configured periodic grant is received. A response is transmitted. The response comprises: a first value based on a number of transmissions via the resources the configured periodic grant; and a second value based on a number of times that the wireless device received no corresponding acknowledgement from the base station in response to the transmissions.

Claims (44)

1. A method by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising a parameter indicating whether a configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of data from a logical channel;

activating the configured grant type 1 in response to the parameter indicating the configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of the data from the logical channel; and

transmitting, to the base station, one or more transport blocks associated with the data of the logical channel based on the configured grant type 1.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the RRC message further comprises at least one of an identifier (ID) of a logical channel group to which the logical channel belongs, a timing offset associated with a system frame number, and information on a start symbol for identifying a resource to be allocated by the configured grant type 1.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the configured grant type 1 is used for resource allocation starting from a first symbol allocated based on the timing offset and the information on the start symbol.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

multiplexing the data of the logical channel onto the one or more transport blocks.

5. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the RRC message further comprises a first periodicity of a configured periodic grant of a first type, the first periodicity indicating a time interval between two subsequent resources of the configured periodic grant of the first type, and

wherein resource allocation reoccurs with the first periodicity.

6. A method by base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising a parameter indicating whether a configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of data from a logical channel; and

receiving, from the UE, one or more transport blocks associated with the data of the logical channel based on the configured grant type 1,

wherein the configured grant type 1 is activated in response to the parameter indicating the configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of the data from the logical channel.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the RRC message further comprises at least one of an identifier (ID) of a logical channel group to which the logical channel belongs, a timing offset associated with a system frame number, and information on a start symbol for identifying a resource to be allocated by the configured grant type 1.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the configured grant type 1 is used for resource allocation starting from a first symbol allocated based on the timing offset and the information on the start symbol.

9. The method of claim 6 ,

wherein the RRC message further comprises a first periodicity of a configured periodic grant of a first type, the first periodicity indicating a time interval between two subsequent resources of the configured periodic grant of the first type, and

wherein resource allocation reoccurs with the first periodicity.

10. A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

a transceiver; and

a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to control to:

receive, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising a parameter indicating whether a configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of data from a logical channel,

activate the configured grant type 1 in response to the parameter indicating the configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of the data from the logical channel, and

transmit, to the base station, one or more transport blocks associated with the data of the logical channel based on the configured grant type 1.

11. The UE of claim 10 , wherein the RRC message further comprises at least one of an identifier (ID) of a logical channel group to which the logical channel belongs, a timing offset associated with a system frame number, and information on a start symbol for identifying a resource to be allocated by the configured grant type 1.

12. The UE of claim 11 , wherein the configured grant type 1 is used for resource allocation starting from a first symbol allocated based on the timing offset and the information on the start symbol.

13. The UE of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to:

multiplex the data of the logical channel onto the one or more transport blocks.

14. The UE of claim 10 ,

wherein the RRC message further comprises a first periodicity of a configured periodic grant of a first type, the first periodicity indicating a time interval between two subsequent resources of the configured periodic grant of the first type, and

wherein resource allocation reoccurs with the first periodicity.

15. A base station in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

a transceiver; and

a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to control to:

transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising a parameter indicating whether a configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of data from a logical channel, and

receive, from the UE, one or more transport blocks associated with the data of the logical channel based on the configured grant type 1,

wherein the configured grant type 1 is activated in response to the parameter indicating the configured grant type 1 is used for transmission of the data from the logical channel.

16. The base station of claim 15 , wherein the RRC message further comprises at least one of an identifier (ID) of a logical channel group to which the logical channel belongs, a timing offset associated with a system frame number, and information on a start symbol for identifying a resource to be allocated by the configured grant type 1.

17. The base station of claim 16 , wherein the configured grant type 1 is used for resource allocation starting from a first symbol allocated based on the timing offset and the information on the start symbol.

18. The base station of claim 15 ,

wherein the RRC message further comprises a first periodicity of a configured periodic grant of a first type, the first periodicity indicating a time interval between two subsequent resources of the configured periodic grant of the first type, and

wherein resource allocation reoccurs with the first periodicity.
