Golf shoe

1. A shoe, comprising:

an upper, a midsole, and an outsole arranged to form an enclosure adapted to receive a foot of a wearer;

a toe area disposed at a front of the shoe and adapted to house toes of the wearer; and

a heal stabilizer having a heel band extending around a heel portion of the shoe connected at a midfoot area to a midfoot shank which is fixed to at least one of the midsole and the outsole;

wherein the heel stabilizer is configured to center the foot of the wearer within the shoe to provide stability to the foot;

wherein the toe area has an oblique shape delimited by an outer radius of the outsole of greater than zero; and

wherein the heel stabilizer is a one piece, monolithic structure where the midfoot shank is disposed at a receptacle portion of the midsole and is fixed to the midsole of the shoe.

2. The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the outer radius is about 60 mm to about 80 mm.

3. The shoe of claim 2 , wherein the outer radius is about 70 mm.

4. The shoe of claim 2 , wherein the outsole includes an inner radius of about 55 mm to about 75 mm, wherein the inner radius is arranged radially inward of the outer radius.

5. The shoe of claim 1 , wherein one side of the heel band extends downward from the heel portion to an arch area of the shoe and connects with the midfoot shank, and wherein an opposite side of the heel band traverses an outer lateral portion of the shoe from the heel portion to the midfoot shank.

6. The shoe of claim 1 , wherein a lower edge of the heel band is affixed to the midsole and an opposite upper edge of the heel band is affixed to the upper.

7. The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the midfoot shank passes through a receptacle portion of the midsole and is fixed to the outsole of the shoe.

8. The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the heel band and midfoot shank delimit an asymmetrical ring.

9. The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the midfoot shank of the heel stabilizer extends through a receptacle portion of the midsole and through a corresponding receptacle of the outsole.

10. The shoe of claim 9 , wherein the midfoot shank is secured to the midsole and outsole at the receptacles.

11. The shoe of claim 1 , wherein the shoe includes an area of increased width at the toe area, the area of increased width extending from a medial side to a lateral side of the interior of the toe region.
