Abstract

A method may include transmitting, by a base station to a wireless device, a medium access control control element (MAC CE). The MAC CE may indicate a power control parameter set of power control parameter sets for uplink transmissions by the wireless device via physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources, and a pathloss reference signal (RS), of pathloss RSs for the uplink transmissions via the PUSCH resources, associated with the power control parameter set. The method may include transmitting downlink control information indicating a PUSCH resource and the power control parameter set. The method may include receiving an uplink signal via the PUSCH resource, wherein a transmission power of the uplink signal is based on the pathloss RS associated with the power control parameter set.

Claims (54)

1. A method comprising:

transmitting, by a base station to a wireless device, a medium access control control element (MAC CE) indicating:

a power control parameter set of power control parameter sets for uplink transmissions by the wireless device via physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources; and

a pathloss reference signal (RS), of pathloss RSs for the uplink transmissions via the PUSCH resources, associated with the power control parameter set;

transmitting downlink control information indicating:

a PUSCH resource; and

the power control parameter set; and

receiving an uplink signal via the PUSCH resource, wherein a transmission power of the uplink signal is based on the pathloss RS associated with the power control parameter set.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the power control parameter sets comprises an identifier of one of the pathloss RSs.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the power control parameter set comprises an identifier of the pathloss RS.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the power control parameter sets comprises one or more of:

an identifier of a pathloss RS of the pathloss RSs;

an identifier of an alpha set for a PUSCH pathloss estimation; or

an identifier of a closed loop power control index for the PUSCH pathloss estimation.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the downlink control information comprises a sounding reference signal resource indicator.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the sounding reference signal resource indicator indicates the power control parameter set.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the MAC CE comprises a serving cell identity.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the PUSCH resource comprises:

a frequency domain resource; or

time domain resource.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein an identity of the power control parameter set comprises an index of the power control parameter set, wherein the MAC CE indicates the power control parameter set using the index.

10. A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

transmit, to a wireless device, a medium access control control element (MAC CE) indicating:

a power control parameter set of power control parameter sets for uplink transmissions by the wireless device via physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources; and

a pathloss reference signal (RS), of pathloss RSs for the uplink transmissions via the PUSCH resources, associated with the power control parameter set;

transmit downlink control information indicating:

a PUSCH resource; and

the power control parameter set; and

receive an uplink signal via the PUSCH resource, wherein a transmission power of the uplink signal is based on the pathloss RS associated with the power control parameter set.

11. The base station of claim 10 , wherein each of the power control parameter sets comprises an identifier of one of the pathloss RSs.

12. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the power control parameter set comprises an identifier of the pathloss RS.

13. The base station of claim 10 , wherein each of the power control parameter sets comprises one or more of:

an identifier of a pathloss RS of the pathloss RSs;

an identifier of an alpha set for a PUSCH pathloss estimation; or

an identifier of a closed loop power control index for the PUSCH pathloss estimation.

14. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the downlink control information comprises a sounding reference signal resource indicator.

15. The base station of claim 14 , wherein the sounding reference signal resource indicator indicates the power control parameter set.

16. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the MAC CE comprises a serving cell identity.

17. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the PUSCH resource comprises:

a frequency domain resource; or

time domain resource.

18. The base station of claim 10 , wherein an identity of the power control parameter set comprises an index of the power control parameter set, wherein the MAC CE indicates the power control parameter set using the index.

19. A system comprising:

a wireless device; and

a base station comprising one or more processors and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

transmit, to the wireless device, a medium access control control element (MAC CE) indicating:

a power control parameter set of power control parameter sets for uplink transmissions by the wireless device via physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources; and

a pathloss reference signal (RS), of pathloss RS s for the uplink transmissions via the PUSCH resources, associated with the power control parameter set;

transmit downlink control information indicating:

a PUSCH resource; and

the power control parameter set; and
