Abstract

Systems are provided for a cable hangers. A system for cable hangers can include a cable hanger having a support member including a proximal end and a distal end. A plurality of saddles are attached to and extend from the support member, with each saddle of the plurality of saddles being configured to support at least one cable on a cable supporting surface A hanging mechanism is arranged at the proximal end of the support member, where the hanging mechanism is offset on the support member.

Claims (24)

1. A cable hanger, comprising:

a support member including a proximal end and a distal end, wherein a bottom surface is positioned at the distal end;

a hanging mechanism arranged at the proximal end of the support member and configured to attach the cable hanger to a support wire;

an attachment mechanism arranged on the bottom surface at the distal end of the support member;

a first saddle arranged on the support member;

a second saddle arranged on the support member, wherein the first saddle is smaller than the second saddle, wherein the attachment mechanism is positioned completely below the first saddle and second saddle, and the attachment mechanism is extending downward from the bottom surface; and

at least one saddle extension, comprising:

a central post having a proximal end and a distal end;

at least one saddle attached to the central post and configured to support at least one cable;

a securement mechanism arranged on the proximal end and configured to attach the saddle extension to the attachment mechanism of the cable hanger; and

an attachment mechanism arranged on the distal end.

2. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein the securement mechanism of the at least one saddle extension is removable clips.

3. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein the securement mechanism of the at least one saddle extension is a nut and bolt.

4. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein the securement mechanism of the at least one saddle extension is a pair of deformable tabs which are configured to be non-removably deformed on the attachment mechanism of the cable hanger.

5. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein the hanging mechanism is offset on the support member relative to the first and second saddles.

6. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of saddles are attached to the central post and form at least one mirrored pair of saddles along the central post from the proximal end to the distal end.

7. The cable hanger of claim 6 , wherein a portion of each of the plurality of saddles is arranged at an angle less than 90° relative to the support member.

8. The cable hanger of claim 7 , wherein each of the plurality of saddles includes a first portion perpendicular to the central post, and a second portion, extending from the first portion, arranged at an angle less than 90° relative to the central post.

9. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of saddles are attached to the support member and form at least one mirrored pair of saddles along the support member from the proximal end to the distal end.

10. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein the hanging mechanism is a positive locking mechanism.

11. The cable hanger of claim 10 , wherein the hanging mechanism is a hook attached to the support member.

12. The cable hanger of claim 11 , wherein an opening of the hook is vertically aligned with the support member.

13. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein the cable hanger is attached to a support wire arranged on a spool.

14. The cable hanger of claim 1 , wherein a second saddle extension is attached to the attachment mechanism of the at least one saddle extension.
