Abstract

A vehicle master device includes a rewrite specification data acquisition unit that is configured to acquire rewrite specification data from outside, a rewrite specification data analysis unit that is configured to analyze the rewrite specification data acquired by the rewrite specification data acquisition unit, a rewrite target specifying unit that is configured to identify a rewrite target ECU and a non-rewrite target ECU based on an analysis result by the rewrite specification data analysis unit, an installability determination unit that is configured to determine whether installation is feasible for the rewrite target ECU, and a state transition control unit that is configured to control at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in a stop state, a sleep state, or a power saving operating state when the installability determination unit determines that the installation is feasible.

Claims (60)

1. A vehicle master device that is configured to acquire update data from outside and distribute the acquired update data to a rewrite target electronic control unit (ECU), the device comprising:

a rewrite specification data acquisition unit that is configured to acquire rewrite specification data from outside;

a rewrite specification data analysis unit that is configured to analyze the rewrite specification data acquired by the rewrite specification data acquisition unit;

a rewrite target specifying unit that is configured to specify a rewrite target ECU and a non-rewrite target ECU based on an analysis result by the rewrite specification data analysis unit;

an installability determination unit that is configured to determine whether installation is feasible for the rewrite target ECU by communicating with the rewrite target ECU; and

a state transition control unit that is configured to control at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in a stop state, a sleep state, or a power saving operating state when the installability determination unit determines that the installation is feasible.

2. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

the installability determination unit is further configured to determine that the installation is feasible when a vehicle is parked.

3. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

when the installability determination unit determines that the installation is feasible on at least one rewrite target ECU that is in the stop state or the sleep state, the state transition control unit is further configured to control the at least one rewrite target ECU to be in an active state.

4. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

when the installability determination unit determines that the installation is feasible on at least one rewrite target ECU that is in the power saving operating state, the state transition control unit is further configured to control the at least one rewrite target ECU to be in a normal operating state.

5. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

the state transition control unit is further configured to control the at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in the stop state, the sleep state, or the power saving operating state by transmitting a request for the stop state, the sleep state, or the power saving operating state to the at least one non-rewrite target ECU.

6. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

the state transition control unit is further configured to control the at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in the stop state by controlling power to a bus connected to the at least one non-rewrite target ECU.

7. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

when the rewrite target ECU are a plurality of rewrite target ECUs, the state transition control unit is further configured to individually change states of the plurality of rewrite target ECUs.

8. The vehicle master device according to claim 7 , wherein

the plurality of rewrite target ECUs include a first rewrite target ECU and a second rewrite target ECU,

when a rewrite is performed on the first rewrite target ECU but not on the second rewrite target ECU, the state transition control unit is further configured to control the first rewrite target ECU to be in the active state and the second rewrite target ECU to be in the stop state, the sleep state, or the power saving operating state.

9. The vehicle master device according to claim 7 , further comprising

a rewrite order specifying unit that is configured to specify a rewrite order for the plurality of rewrite target ECUs based on the analysis result by the rewrite specification data analysis unit, wherein

the state transition control unit is configured to control the plurality of rewrite target ECUs specified by the rewrite target specifying unit in the rewrite order specified by the rewrite order specifying unit by controlling one of the plurality of rewrite target ECUs, which is in its turn under the rewrite order, to be in the active state and the others of the plurality of rewrite target ECUs, which are not in their turn under the rewrite order, to be in the stop state, the sleep state, or the power saving operating state.

10. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

when the rewrite target ECU are a plurality of rewrite target ECUs, the state transition control unit is further configured to change states of the plurality of rewrite target ECUs at the same time.

11. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

when the update data distribution unit distributes the update data to the rewrite target ECU, the state transition control unit is further configured to exclude a non-rewrite target ECU having a specific function among the at least one non-rewrite target ECU and control an other non-rewrite target ECU other than the non-rewrite target ECU having the specific function to be in the stop state, the sleep state, or the power saving operating state.

12. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

when the rewrite target ECU is capable of perform an application control during an application program rewrite, the state transition control unit is further configured to control the at least one non-rewrite target ECU other than a non-rewrite target ECU capable of communicating with the rewrite target ECU to be the stop state, the sleep state, or the power saving operating state.

13. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , wherein

the state transition control unit is further configured to divide a plurality of rewrite target ECUs or a plurality of non-rewrite target ECUs into a plurality of groups and perform state transition for each group unit.

14. The vehicle master device according to claim 13 , wherein

the state transition control unit is further configured to divide the plurality of rewrite target ECUs or the plurality of non-rewrite target ECUs into the plurality of groups based on either one of a start power, a domain group, or a synchronization timing.

15. A non-rewrite target power supply administration method for a vehicle master device that is configured to acquire update data from outside and distribute the acquired update data to a rewrite target electronic control unit (ECU), the method comprising the steps of:

acquiring rewrite specification data from outside;

analyzing the acquired rewrite specification data;

specifying a rewrite target ECU and a non-rewrite target ECU based on an analysis result;

determining whether installation is feasible for the rewrite target ECU by communicating with the rewrite target ECU; and

controlling at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in a stop state, a sleep state, or a power saving operating state when the installation is determined to be feasible.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a computer program for a vehicle master device that includes a processor and that is configured to acquire update data from outside and distribute the acquired update data to a rewrite target electronic control unit (ECU), the computer program comprising instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

acquire rewrite specification data from outside;

analyze the acquired rewrite specification data;

specify a rewrite target ECU and a non-rewrite target ECU based on an analysis result;

determine whether installation is feasible for the rewrite target ECU by communicating with the rewrite target ECU; and

control at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in a stop state, a sleep state, or a power saving operating state when the installation is determined to be feasible.

17. The vehicle master device according to claim 1 , further comprising

a processor, wherein

the rewrite target specifying unit is further configured to specify which type of a power is connected to each of a plurality of rewrite target ECUs including a first rewrite target ECU connected to a battery power, a second rewrite target ECU connected to an accessory power, and a third rewrite target ECU connected to an ignition power,

the processor is programmed to instruct a power supply administration unit to turn on the power during vehicle parking when the rewrite target ECUs include at least the rewrite target ECU connected to the accessary power or the rewrite target ECU connected to the ignition power, and

the state transition control unit is further configured to control the at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in the stop state, the sleep state, or the power saving operating state according to the type of the power connected to each of the plurality of rewrite target ECUs.

18. The vehicle master device according to claim 10 , wherein

the plurality of rewrite target ECUs include a first rewrite target ECU and a second rewrite target ECU,

when rewriting is performed on the first rewrite target ECU but not on the second rewrite target ECU, the state transition control unit is further configured to control both the first rewrite target ECU and the second rewrite target ECU to be in the active state.

19. A vehicle master device configured to acquire update data from outside and distribute the acquired update data to a rewrite target electronic control unit (ECU), the vehicle master device comprising a processor and memory configured to:

acquire rewrite specification data from outside;

analyze the acquired rewrite specification data;

specify a rewrite target ECU and a non-rewrite target ECU based on a result of the analysis;

determine whether installation is feasible for the rewrite target ECU by communicating with the rewrite target ECU; and

control at least one non-rewrite target ECU to be in a stop state, a sleep state, or a power saving operating state in response to determining that the installation is feasible.
