Backhaul link connection information
A wireless device communicates with a first network node via a second network node. The wireless device transmits a radio link failure report to a third network node. The radio link failure report indicates a backhaul link failure between the first network node and the second network node.
1. A method comprising:
communicating, by a wireless device, with an integrated access backhaul (IAB) donor node via an IAB node;
receiving, by the wireless device from the IAB node, backhaul link failure information indicating a failure of a radio link established between the IAB donor node and the IAB node;
determining, based on the backhaul link failure information, a failure of a connection between the wireless device and the IAB donor node; and
transmitting, by the wireless device to a third network node, a radio link failure report indicating a backhaul link failure, between the IAB donor node and the IAB node, as causing the failure of the connection between the wireless device and the IAB donor node.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless device receives the backhaul link failure information via at least one of:
a medium access control control element;
a physical layer command comprising downlink control information;
an adaptive layer indication; or
a radio resource control message.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the backhaul link failure information comprises a failure type comprising at least one of:
a temporary blockage;
a failure of at least one of multiple backhaul links of the IAB node; or
a failure of all backhaul links of the IAB node.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the backhaul link failure information comprises a cell identifier of a cell, of the IAB donor node, causing the failure of the radio link.
5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising releasing, by the wireless device and in response to receiving the backhaul link failure information, a bearer established via the IAB node.
6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising stopping, by the wireless device and in response to receiving the backhaul link failure information, transmission of a scheduling request to the IAB node.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the radio link comprises one or more radio links connected via one or more network nodes, and the failure of the radio link indicates at least one failure of the one or more radio links.
8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
transmitting, by the wireless device via a second cell, one or more random access preambles;
receiving, by the wireless device from the third network node, a random access response for the one or more random access preamble; and
transmitting, by the wireless device to the third network node and based on the random access response, a radio resource control connection request message.
9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the radio link failure report comprises at least one of:
an information element indicating that the backhaul link failure caused the failure of the connection; or
a cell identifier of a cell, of the IAB donor node, causing the failure of the radio link established between the IAB donor node and the IAB node.
10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the radio link failure report comprises a cell identifier of a first cell.
11. A wireless device comprising:
one or more processors; and
memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
communicate with an integrated access backhaul (IAB) donor node via an IAB node;
receive, from the IAB node, backhaul link failure information indicating a failure of a radio link established between the IAB donor node and the IAB node;
determine, based on the backhaul link failure information, a failure of a connection between the wireless device and the IAB donor node; and
transmit, to a third network node, a radio link failure report indicating a backhaul link failure, between the IAB donor node and the IAB node, as causing the failure of the connection between the wireless device and the IAB donor node.
12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to receive the backhaul link failure information via at least one of:
a medium access control control element;
a physical layer command comprising downlink control information;
an adaptive layer indication; or
a radio resource control message.
13. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the backhaul link failure information comprises a failure type comprising at least one of:
a temporary blockage;
a failure of at least one of multiple backhaul links of the IAB node; or
a failure of all backhaul links of the IAB node.
14. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the backhaul link failure information comprises a cell identifier of a cell, of the IAB donor node, causing the failure of the radio link.
15. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the radio link comprises one or more radio links connected via one or more network nodes, and the failure of the radio link indicates at least one failure of the one or more radio links.
16. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the radio link failure report comprises at least one of:
an information element indicating that the backhaul link failure caused the failure of the connection; or
a cell identifier of a cell, of the IAB donor node, causing the failure of the radio link.
17. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the radio link failure report comprises a cell identifier of a first cell.
18. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless device, cause the wireless device to perform operations comprising:
communicating with an integrated access backhaul (IAB) donor node via an IAB node;
receiving, from the IAB node, backhaul link failure information indicating a failure of a radio link established between the IAB donor node and the IAB node;
determining, based on the backhaul link failure information, a failure of a connection between the wireless device and the IAB donor node; and
transmitting, to a third network node, a radio link failure report indicating a backhaul link failure, between the IAB donor node and the IAB node, as causing the failure of the connection between the wireless device and the IAB donor node.
