Abstract

A touch sensor integrated display device is provided comprising gate lines and data lines formed on a substrate to be intersected with each other, a plurality of pixel electrodes formed at intersections between the gate lines and the data lines, and a common electrode formed to overlap the plurality of pixel electrodes through an insulating film disposed between the common electrode and the plurality of pixel electrodes, wherein the common electrode includes at least two touch electrodes, each of which is connected to at least one of signal lines arranged in one of a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction.

Claims (34)

1. A touch display device, comprising:

a plurality of gate lines;

a plurality of data lines;

a plurality of pixel electrodes connected respectively to the data lines;

a first touch electrode on at least one of the pixel electrodes;

a second touch electrode on at least one of the pixel electrodes and spaced apart from the first touch electrode;

a first signal line connected to the first touch electrode, the first signal line overlapping the second touch electrode without being connected to the second touch electrode; and

a second signal line connected to the second touch electrode, the second signal line overlapping the first touch electrode without being connected to the first touch electrode,

wherein the first signal line and the second signal line are configured to apply touch drive signals respectively to the first touch electrode and the second electrode during a touch driving mode, and

wherein the first signal line and the second signal line are further configured to apply display drive signals different from the touch drive signal respectively to the first touch electrode and the second electrode during a display driving mode.

2. The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein each of the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode respectively overlaps at least two of the pixel electrodes.

3. The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein the first signal line and the second signal line overlap portions of the gate lines.

4. The touch display device of claim 3 , wherein the first signal line and the second signal line extend in a first direction, and the gate lines extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

5. The touch display device of claim 4 , wherein the first signal line overlaps a first data line among the data lines, and the second signal line overlaps a second data line among the data lines, and

wherein the data lines extend in the first direction.

6. The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein the first signal line and the second signal line overlap portions of the data lines.

7. The touch display device of claim 6 , wherein the first signal line and the second signal line extend in a first direction, and the data lines extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

8. The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein the data lines are configured to apply pixel voltages to the pixel electrodes during the display driving mode and are configured to apply third signals to pixel electrodes during the touch driving mode, and

wherein the third signals are different from the pixel voltages.

9. The touch display device of claim 8 , further comprising:

a gate driver configured to apply gate pulses to the gate lines during the display driving mode and to apply fourth signals to the gate lines during the touch driving mode, the fourth signals being different from the gate pulses.

10. The touch display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a passivation layer between at least one of the first and second touch electrodes and at least one of the first and second signal lines,

wherein the first signal line is connected to the first touch electrode via a first contact hole penetrating the passivation layer, and

wherein the second signal line is connected to the second touch electrode via a second contact hole penetrating the passivation layer.

11. The touch display device of claim 10 , wherein the first line and the second line are disposed spaced apart from each other on a same layer in an area where the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode are arranged.

12. The touch display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a first substrate;

a second substrate;

a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate; and

a thin film transistor on the first substrate.

13. The touch display device of claim 12 , further comprising:

a color filter on the second substrate.

14. The touch display device of claim 12 , wherein one of the pixel electrodes is on the thin film transistor.
