Abstract

A fraud detection system which detects fraud in a game of performing collection and redemption of chips in accordance with a win or lose result includes a camera which captures an image of chips contained in a chip tray of a dealer, an image analyzing apparatus which analyses the image captured by the camera to detect an amount of the chips contained in the chip tray, a card distribution device which determines a win or lose result of a game, and a control device which compares the win or lose result of the game and the amount of the chips contained in the chip tray before and after collection and redemption of the chips to detect fraud.

Claims (32)

1. A system for recognizing chips placed on a game table on which a game using chips is played, the system comprising:

a single camera configured to capture a chip stack comprising a plurality of chips stacked vertically and displaced from each other and placed on the game table to acquire a captured image; and

a control device configured to determine a position, a type, and a number of chips placed on the game table by analyzing one captured image acquired by the single camera,

wherein:

the single camera is configured to acquire the one captured image including a plurality of chip stacks having different distances and directions of observation from each other when there are the plurality of chip stacks by capturing the chips on the game table from diagonally above,

the single camera is configured to acquire the one captured image, which shows a top surface of the topmost chip in the chip stack and sides of the plurality of chips comprising the chip stack, by capturing the chips on the game table from diagonally above,

the control device is configured to determine a location of each of the plurality of chip stacks, the type of each of the plurality of chips in each of the plurality of chip stacks, and the number of chips in each of the plurality of chip stacks by using artificial intelligence techniques utilizing deep learning as image analysis, and

the control device is configured to determine the position, the type, and the number of chips by image analysis of the one captured image of a chip stack comprising a plurality of chips stacked in a zigzag manner.

2. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is configured to, even when the chip stack includes a first chip and a second chip stacked on top of the first chip, with a portion of the first chip hidden by the second chip, identify the first chip.

3. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is configured to determine, as a position of the chip stack, whether the chip stack is placed in a betting area of a player, banker, or pair on the game table.

4. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is configured to determine the type of chips based at least on colors of the chips.

5. The system according to claim 1 , wherein:

the single camera is configured to capture the plurality of chip stacks that have been bet by being placed on the game table by a player, and

the control device is configured to determine the position, the type, and the number of chips in the bet chip stacks.

6. The system according to claim 1 , wherein:

the single camera is configured to capture the plurality of chip stacks that have been paid out to players by being placed on the game table by a dealer, and

the control device is configured to determine the position, the type, and the number of bet stacks dispensed.

7. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is configured to calculate a total amount of each of the plurality of chip stacks based on respective types of chips contained in each of the plurality of chip stacks and a respective numbers of chips contained in each of the plurality of chip stacks.

8. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is configured to determine whether a dealer has correctly collected one or more chips according to results of the image analysis and a game result.

9. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is configured to determine whether a dealer has correctly paid out one or more chips according to results of the image analysis and a game result.

10. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is configured to determine whether a dealer has correctly collected and paid out chips according to results of the image analysis and a game result.

11. A system for recognizing chips placed on a game table configured for a game to be played using chips, the system comprising:

a single camera configured to capture a plurality of chip stacks placed on the game table from diagonally above to acquire one or more captured images, wherein:

the plurality of chip stacks having different distances and directions of observation from each other,

at least one chip stack of the plurality of chip stacks comprising a plurality of chips stacked vertically and displaced from each other, and

one captured image of the one or more captured images shows a top surface of the topmost chip in the at least one chip stack and sides of the plurality of chips of the at least one chip stack; and

a control device configured to analyze the one captured image to determine a position, a type, and a number of chips placed on the game table,

wherein, to analyze the one captured image, the control device is further configured to use artificial intelligence techniques utilizing deep learning to determine:

a location of each of the plurality of chip stacks,

the type of each of the plurality of chips in each of the plurality of chip stacks, and

the number of chips in each of the plurality of chip stacks.

12. The system according to claim 11 , wherein the plurality of chips of the at least one chip stack are stacked in a zigzag manner.
