Abstract

A vacuum adiabatic body and a refrigerator are provided. The vacuum adiabatic body may include a sheet base provided in a direction crossing a vacuum space between a first plate and a second plate, and at least one sheet protrusion that protrudes from the sheet base in at direction toward one of the first plate or the second plate to maintain an interval between the sheet base and the one of the first plate or the second plate.

Claims (36)

1. A vacuum adiabatic body, comprising:

a first plate;

a second plate;

a vacuum space provided between the first plate and the second plate;

a first bar that passes through the first through hole of the sheet base; and

a second bar that passes through the second through hole of the sheet base, wherein the first sheet protrusion is positioned between the first bar and the second bar.

2. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 1 , wherein the sheet base is provided in a direction crossing the vacuum space.

3. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first bar or the second bar extends in a first direction of the vacuum space, and wherein the sheet base extends in a second direction of the vacuum space to allow the sheet base to cross the at least one of the first bar or the second bar.

4. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 3 , wherein the second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction.

5. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 1 , wherein the sheet base comprises a third through hole provided adjacent to an edge of the sheet base and a fourth through hole provided adjacent to a center of the sheet base, and wherein a size of the fourth through hole is greater than a size of the third through hole.

6. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 3 , wherein at least one of the first sheet protrusion or the second sheet protrusion protrudes from the sheet base in the first direction.

7. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 1 , further comprising a support configured to maintain a distance between the first plate and second plate and comprising a support plate having a lower heat transfer coefficient than the first plate or the second plate, wherein at least one of the first sheet protrusion or the second sheet protrusion contacts the support plate and does not contact the first plate or the second plate.

8. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 7 , wherein at least one of the first sheet protrusion or the second sheet protrusion comprises a distal end to contact the support plate, and wherein an area of a portion of the distal end which the support plate contacts is less than an area of a portion of the at least one of the first sheet protrusion or the second sheet protrusion to which the sheet base is connected.

9. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 1 , wherein the first and second sheet protrusions are spaced apart from each other in a direction in which the first plate or the second plate extends.

10. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 1 , wherein the first sheet protrusion is disposed to support the first plate, and the second sheet protrusion is disposed to support the second plate.

11. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first bar or the second bar extends in a first direction of the vacuum space and is configured to maintain an interval between the first plate and the second plate in the vacuum space, and wherein the first direction is substantially perpendicular to a direction in which the first plate or the second plate extends.
