Abstract

Provided are a LIDAR apparatus based on a time of flight and a moving object which output an electrical signal by transmitting and receiving light, generate a control signal by analyzing the electrical signal, measure a pin point distance by calculating a time of flight of the light based on the control signal, and process point cloud data generated based on a measured distance to accurately construct information on a surrounding environment.

Claims (7)

1. A signal discriminator comprising:

a first converter which converts a shape of the electrical signal which rises or falls such that a signal timing having a maximum signal magnitude has a predetermined magnitude;

a second converter which adjusts a magnitude of the converted input signal; and

a signal detector which detects at least one timing having the predetermined reference magnitude from the input signal with the adjusted magnitude to generate an output signal,

wherein the signal detector outputs a rising edge and a falling edge with respect to one threshold value from the input signal with the adjusted magnitude.

2. The signal discriminator according to claim 1 , wherein the first converter differentiates the input signal or converts the input signal using a constant fraction discriminator (CFD).

3. The signal discriminator according to claim 1 , wherein the second converter amplifies a magnitude of the converted input signal N times (N is a real number larger than 1).
