Abstract

An example operation includes one or more of: determining an operating behavior of a first vehicle that is not part of a connected vehicle system from a device communicatively coupled to the first vehicle, wherein the device is configured to operate with the connected vehicle system; determining that the operating behavior is not associated with a second vehicle that is part of the connected vehicle system; and initiating the operating behavior in the second vehicle when the device is communicatively coupled to the second vehicle.

Claims (92)

1. A method, comprising:

determining an operating behavior of a first vehicle that is not part of a connected vehicle system from a device communicatively coupled to the first vehicle, wherein the device is configured to operate with the connected vehicle system;

determining that the operating behavior is not associated with a second vehicle that is part of the connected vehicle system; and

initiating the operating behavior in the second vehicle when the device is communicatively coupled to the second vehicle.

2. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

storing the gathered data on the device when the device cannot communicate with the connected vehicle system; and

transferring the gathered data to the second vehicle.

3. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

receiving, by the second vehicle, the gathered data; and

utilizing, by the second vehicle, the gathered data to configure one or more components of the second vehicle to enable a functionality of the second vehicle.

4. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

receiving, by the second vehicle, the gathered data; and

providing a notification, by the second vehicle; the notification including an instruction of how to perform the operating behavior using the second vehicle.

5. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

receiving, by the second vehicle, the gathered data; and

displaying, by the second vehicle, an offer to install an optional vehicle feature associated with the operating behavior, wherein the optional vehicle feature is provided by an over-the-air update to the second vehicle.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining that the operating behavior is not associated with the second vehicle that is part of the connected vehicle system comprises:

gathering a first set of data associated with one or more operating behaviors of the second vehicle;

detecting one or more vehicle sensors;

acquiring a second set of data from the one or more vehicle sensors;

comparing the first set of data to the second set of data; and

based on the comparison, determining that the one or more operating behaviors are not associated with the second vehicle.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the initiating is performed by:

gathering data from one or more sensors of the second vehicle, wherein the data is associated with one or more operating behaviors of the second vehicle;

storing the data;

detecting the device in proximity to the second vehicle;

retrieving the stored data; and

executing the one or more operating behaviors of the second vehicle based on the stored data.

8. A system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory, wherein the processor and the memory are communicably coupled, wherein the processor:

determines an operational behavior of a first vehicle that is not part of a connected vehicle system from a device communicatively coupled to the first vehicle, wherein the device is configured to operate with the connected vehicle system;

determines that the operational behavior is not associated with a second vehicle that is part of the connected vehicle system; and

initiates the operational behavior in the second vehicle when the device is communicatively coupled to the second vehicle.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor:

gathers data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle to determine the operational behavior;

stores the gathered data on the device when the device cannot communicate with the connected vehicle system; and

transfers the gathered data to the second vehicle.

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor:

gathers data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle to determine the operational behavior;

sends the gathered data to the second vehicle; and

configures one or more components of the second vehicle in response to the gathered data to enable a functionality of the second vehicle.

11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor:

gathers data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle to determine the operational behavior;

sends the gathered data to the second vehicle; and

initiates a notification, at the second vehicle; the notification including an instruction of how to perform the operational behavior using the second vehicle.

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor:

gathers data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle to determine the operational behavior;

sends the gathered data to the second vehicle; and

initiates a display, at the second vehicle, of an offer to install an optional vehicle feature associated with the operational behavior, wherein the optional vehicle feature is provided by an over-the-air update to the second vehicle.

13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor:

gathers a first set of data associated with one or more operational behaviors of the second vehicle;

detects one or more vehicle sensors;

acquires a second set of data from the one or more vehicle sensors;

compares the first set of data to the second set of data; and

based on the comparison, determines that the one or more operational behaviors are not associated with the second vehicle.

14. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor:

gathers data from one or more sensors of the second vehicle, wherein the data is associated with one or more operational behaviors of the second vehicle;

stores the data;

detects the device in proximity to the second vehicle;

retrieves the stored data; and

executes the one or more operational behaviors of the second vehicle based on the stored data.

15. A computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when read by a processor, cause the processor to perform:

determining an operating behavior of a first vehicle that is not part of a connected vehicle system from a device communicatively coupled to the first vehicle, wherein the device is configured to operate with the connected vehicle system;

determining that the operating behavior is not associated with a second vehicle that is part of the connected vehicle system; and

initiating the operating behavior in the second vehicle when the device is communicatively coupled to the second vehicle.

16. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions for:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

storing the gathered data on the device when the device cannot communicate with the connected vehicle system; and

transferring the gathered data to the second vehicle.

17. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions for:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

receiving, by the second vehicle, the gathered data; and

utilizing, by the second vehicle, the gathered data to configure one or more components of the second vehicle to enable a functionality of the second vehicle.

18. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions for:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

receiving, by the second vehicle, the gathered data; and

providing a notification, by the second vehicle; the notification including an instruction of how to perform the operating behavior using the second vehicle.

19. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions for:

determining the operating behavior by gathering data from one or more sensors of the first vehicle;

receiving, by the second vehicle, the gathered data; and

displaying, by the second vehicle, an offer to install an optional vehicle feature associated with the operating behavior, wherein the optional vehicle feature is provided by an over-the-air update to the second vehicle.

20. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions for:

gathering a first set of data associated with one or more operating behaviors of the second vehicle;

detecting one or more vehicle sensors;

acquiring a second set of data from the one or more vehicle sensors;

comparing the first set of data to the second set of data; and

based on the comparison, determining that the one or more operating behaviors are not associated with the second vehicle.
