Abstract

A rollable display device for a vehicle may include: a housing forming a body of the rollable display device, and having a housing space formed therein; a roller part rotatably housed in the housing space; and a display panel wound around the roller part or unwound from the roller part, according to the rotation direction of the roller part. The display panel may include: a screen part configured to receive an output signal from the outside, and output various pieces of information; and a support part disposed on a rear surface of the screen part, and configured to support the screen part in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction.

Claims (37)

1. A rollable display device for a vehicle, comprising:

a housing forming a body of the rollable display device and having a housing space formed therein;

a roller part rotatably housed in the housing space; and

a display panel wound around the roller part or unwound from the roller part according to a rotation direction of the roller part,

wherein the display panel comprises:

a screen part configured to receive an output signal from outside the display device and output information; and

a support part disposed on a rear surface of the screen part and being configured to support the screen part in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction; and

wherein the roller part comprises:

a display roller disposed in a lower region of the housing space and being configured to wind or unwind the screen part and a plurality of horizontal supports of the support part according to a rotation direction thereof; and

a support roller disposed in the lower region of the housing space spaced apart from the display roller by a predetermined distance and being configured to wind or unwind a vertical support of the support part according to a rotation direction thereof.

2. The rollable display device of claim 1 , wherein the display roller and the support roller are rotated in opposite directions.

3. The rollable display device of claim 1 , wherein the display roller and the support roller are spaced apart from each other by a thickness of the display panel.

4. The rollable display device of claim 1 , wherein the display roller has an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the support roller.

5. The rollable display device of claim 1 , wherein the support roller comprises:

a body part forming a body of the support roller; and

a plurality of protrusion parts formed along a circumference of the body part and being spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance in a longitudinal direction of the body part.

6. The rollable display device of claim 5 , wherein a width of each of the protrusion parts in the longitudinal direction of the body part is smaller than a distance between the pair of protrusion parts adjacent each other.

7. A rollable display device for a vehicle, comprising:

a housing forming a body of the rollable display device and having a housing space formed therein;

a roller part rotatably housed in the housing space;

a display panel comprising a screen part configured to receive an output signal from outside the display device and output information, and a support part disposed on a rear surface of the screen part and being configured to support the screen part in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction, wherein the display panel is wound around the roller part or unwound from the roller part according to a rotation direction of the roller part; and

a driving part configured to rotate the roller part,

wherein the roller part comprises:

a display roller disposed in a lower region of the housing space and being configured to wind or unwind the screen part and a plurality of horizontal supports of the support part according to a rotation direction thereof; and

a support roller disposed in the lower region of the housing space spaced apart from the display roller by a predetermined distance and being configured to wind or unwind a vertical support of the support part according to a rotation direction thereof.

8. The rollable display device of claim 7 , wherein the support part comprises:

the plurality of horizontal supports disposed on a rear surface of the screen part and spaced apart from each other in a top-to-bottom direction by a predetermined distance; and

the vertical support disposed on a rear surface of the horizontal support.

9. The rollable display device of claim 7 , wherein when the display panel is unrolled from the housing, the horizontal support and the vertical support come into contact with each other.

10. The rollable display device of claim 7 , wherein the horizontal support has a length smaller than or equal to a width of the screen part.

11. The rollable display device of claim 7 , wherein the vertical support comprises:

a plate-shaped support body part disposed on the rear surface of the horizontal support;

a plurality of wing parts cut from the support body part and configured to be elastically bent from the support body part; and

an inclined part formed at each of one end and another end of each of the wing parts.

12. The rollable display device of claim 11 , wherein each wing part is bent from the support body part toward the support roller.

13. The rollable display device of claim 11 , wherein, when seen from a top view, each wing part is inclined toward a cut groove formed by cutting the wing part from the support body part.

14. The rollable display device of claim 11 , wherein a first plurality of wing parts of the plurality of wing parts are arranged on a left side of a middle region of the support body part and a second plurality of wing parts of the plurality of wing parts are arranged on a right side of the middle region of the support body part, and the first and second plurality of wing parts are inclined in directions facing each other.
