Abstract

A lube skid apparatus configured to be moveable and transportable. The lube skid having one or more tanks carried by a scaffold of the lube skid. One or both tanks having sloped bottom walls to optimize flow of fluids in the tanks to minimize residual fluid left in the tank. One or both tanks having sloped top walls configured to contain and direct the flow of fluid spills on the skid to an adjacent sump. The skid also carries a plurality of service devices such as a motor, an air compressor, a tank to hold compressed air, pumps to move fluid with associated filters and hoses, and one or more service storage drawers.

Claims (27)

1. A lube skid comprising:

one or more lube service components;

a laterally sloped spill containment surface disposed beneath the one or more lube service components; and

a sump disposed at the base of and laterally adjacent the sloped spill containment surface,

wherein the laterally sloped spill containment surface is sloped downward toward the sump.

2. The lube skid of claim 1 wherein the laterally sloped spill containment surface comprises a top surface of a tank.

3. The lube skid of claim 1 further comprising one or more service storage drawers.

4. The lube skid of claim 1 further comprising a scaffold.

5. The lube skid of claim 2 further comprising a scaffold to carry the tank.

6. The lube skid of claim 5 wherein the tank comprises side walls and a bottom wall and the scaffold is connected to a portion of a side wall or bottom wall.

7. The lube skid of claim 4 wherein the scaffold defines one or more pockets to receive a fork of a forklift.

8. The lube skid of claim 4 wherein the scaffold carries the one or more service storage drawers.

9. The lube skid of claim 4 wherein the scaffold carries the one or more lube services components.

10. The lube skid of claim 1 wherein the laterally sloped spill containment surface comprises a raised edge along one or more peripheries of the laterally sloped spill containment surface.

11. A lube skid comprising:

a laterally sloped spill containment surface;

a sump disposed at the base of and laterally adjacent the sloped spill containment surface; and

one or more service storage drawers.

12. The lube skid of claim 11 further comprising one or more lube service components.

13. The lube skid of claim 11 wherein one or more lube service components are disposed above the sloped spill containment surface.

14. The lube skid of claim 11 wherein the laterally sloped spill containment surface comprises a sloped top wall of a tank.

15. The lube skid of claim 11 wherein the laterally sloped spill containment surface is sloped downward toward the sump.

16. The lube skid of claim 14 wherein the sloped top wall of the tank is sloped downward toward the sump.

17. The lube skid of claim 14 wherein the one or more service storage drawers are disposed below the tank.

18. The lube skid of claim 11 further comprising a scaffold.

19. The lube skid of claim 18 wherein the scaffold carries the tank.
