Abstract

An object of the present disclosure is to maintain unity of a plurality of albums in a case where editing of a common double-page spread is performed in one person's album. A program is provided which causes a computer to function as an editing unit configured to edit a plurality of albums. Attributes of double-page spreads in the plurality of albums include an attribute of a common double-page spread common to all of the albums and an attribute of an individual double-page spread in each of the albums. The editing unit applies a content of a result of editing performed on a common double-page spread in a predetermined album among the plurality of albums to the album other than the predetermined album.

Claims (46)

1. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program that causes a computer to function as a plurality of units comprising:

an editing unit configured to edit a plurality of albums, wherein an attribute of a page included in the plurality of albums includes (a) a common attribute corresponding to the page being common to each album and (b) an individual attribute corresponding to the page varying depending on each album; and

a determination unit configured to, in a case where predetermined editing is performed on the page of the common attribute in a first album among the plurality of albums, determine whether the predetermined editing satisfies a predetermined condition relating to content of the editing,

wherein the predetermined condition is a condition relating to stamp insertion,

wherein in a case where it is determined that the content of the predetermined editing satisfies the predetermined condition based on the predetermined editing not being the stamp insertion, the editing unit applies a content of a result of the predetermined editing to the page of the common attribute in a second album, which is an album other than the first album, of the plurality of albums based on the predetermined editing being performed,

wherein in a case where it is determined that the content of the predetermined editing does not satisfy the predetermined condition based on the predetermined editing being the stamp insertion, the editing unit does not apply the content of the result of the predetermined editing to the page of the common attribute in the second album despite the predetermined editing being performed, and

wherein a number of double-page spreads in the first album and a number of double-page spreads in the second album are equal after the application by the editing unit.

2. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the computer is caused to further function as a first determination unit configured to determine whether a timing to apply the content to the second album has come.

3. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 2 , wherein the timing is at least one of:

a case where a user performs an editing operation;

a case where the user stores an album;

a case where the user changes an editing-target double-page spread; or

a case where the user changes an editing-target album.

4. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the computer is caused to further function as a second determination unit configured to determine whether a double-page spread which has been edited in the first album is the page of the common attribute, and

wherein the editing unit determines whether the predetermined editing satisfies the predetermined condition in a case where a result of the determination by the second determination unit is positive.

5. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the content is addition of a new page of the common attribute.

6. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 5 , wherein the new page of the common attribute is automatically created based on a condition designated by a user.

7. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 5 , wherein the editing unit adds a page of the common attribute identical or similar to the new page of the common attribute to the second album.

8. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 7 , wherein a position in the first album at which to add the new page of the common attribute and a position in the second album at which to add the page of the common attribute identical or similar to the new page of the common attribute are the same.

9. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the computer is caused to further function as a creation unit configured to create an album on a user-by-user basis, and

wherein the editing unit edits the plurality of albums created by the creation unit.

10. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the computer is caused to further function as an obtaining unit configured to obtain album information forming the plurality of albums.

11. An image processing apparatus comprising:

a computing device that includes (a) a processor and/or (b) an application specific integrated circuit, the computing device being configured to function as a plurality of units comprising:

(1) an editing unit configured to edit a plurality of albums, wherein an attribute of a page included in the plurality of albums includes (a) a common attribute corresponding to the page being common to each album and (b) an individual attribute corresponding to the page varying depending on each album, and

(2) a determination unit configured to, in a case where predetermined editing is performed on the page of the common attribute in a first album among the plurality of albums, determine whether the predetermined editing satisfies a predetermined condition relating to content of the editing,

wherein the predetermined condition is a condition relating stamp insertion,

wherein in a case where it is determined that the content of the predetermined editing satisfies the predetermined condition based on the predetermined editing not being the stamp insertion, the editing unit applies a content of a result of the predetermined editing to the page of the common attribute in a second album, which is an album other than the first album, of the plurality of albums based on the predetermined editing being performed,

wherein in a case where it is determined that the content of the predetermined editing does not satisfy the predetermined condition based on the predetermined editing being the stamp insertion, the editing unit does not apply the content of the result of the predetermined editing to the page of the common attribute in the second album despite the predetermined editing being performed, and

wherein a number of double-page spreads in the first album and a number of double-page spreads in the second album are equal after the application by the editing unit.

12. The image processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the plurality of units further comprises a first determination unit configured to determine whether a timing to apply the content to the second album has come.

13. The image processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the plurality of units further comprises a second determination unit configured to determine whether a double-page spread which has been edited in the first album is the page of the common attribute, and

wherein the editing unit determines whether the predetermined editing satisfies the predetermined condition in a case where a result of the determination by the second determination unit is positive.

14. The image processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the timing is at least one of:

a case where a user performs an editing operation;

a case where the user stores an album;

a case where the user changes an editing-target double-page spread; or

a case where the user changes an editing-target album.

15. The image processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the content is addition of a new page of the common attribute.

16. The image processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the plurality of units further comprises a creation unit configured to create album data on a user-by-user basis, and

wherein the editing unit edits the plurality of albums created by the creation unit.

17. An image processing method to be executed by an image processing apparatus, the image processing apparatus comprising a computing device that includes (a) processor and/or (b) an application specific integrated circuit, the computing device being configured to function as a plurality of units (1) an editing unit configured to edit a plurality of albums, wherein an attribute of a page included in the plurality of albums includes (a) a common attribute corresponding to the page being common to each album and (b) an individual attribute corresponding to the page varying depending on each album, and (2) a determination unit configured to, in a case where predetermined editing is performed on the page of the common attribute in a first album among the plurality of albums, determine whether the predetermined editing satisfies a predetermined condition relating to content of the editing, wherein the predetermined condition is a condition relating to stamp insertion,

wherein the method comprises:

(1) in response to a determination that the content of the predetermined editing satisfies the predetermined condition based on the predetermined editing not being the stamp insertion, applying, by the editing unit, a content of a result of the predetermined editing to the page of the common attribute in a second album, which is an album other than the first album, of the plurality of albums, based on the predetermined editing being performed; and

(2) in response to a determination that the content of the predetermined editing does not satisfy the predetermined condition based on the predetermined editing being the stamp insertion, not applying, by the editing unit, the content of the result of the predetermined editing to the page of the common attribute in the second album despite the predetermined editing being performed, and

wherein a number of double-page spreads in the first album and a number of double-page spreads in the second album are equal after the application by the editing unit.
