Abstract

A storage device includes a nonvolatile memory including a memory cell array and a storage controller configured to receive event data and sensing data from an external device, and store the sensing data in different areas of the memory cell array based on the event data. The memory cell array includes a first memory area configured to store first sensing data from among the sensing data, the first sensing data being associated with a preset event and a second memory area configured to store second sensing data from among the sensing data, the second sensing data being associated with a current event not corresponding to the preset event. A first number of bits stored in each of first memory cells included in the first memory area may be less than a second number of bits stored in each of second memory cells included in the second memory area.

wherein the storage device is configured to receive event data and the sensing data from the processor, and store the sensing data one of a first memory area or a second memory area of the plurality of nonvolatile memory devices based on the event data

wherein the sensing data is stored in the first memory area based on being associated with a preset event and stored in the second memory area based on not being associated with the preset event, and

wherein the storage device is further configured to set the first memory area to read-only mode based on the sensing data being stored in the first memory area.

2. The autonomous driving vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the sensing data is programmed into the first memory area in a single level cell (SLC) programming manner.

3. The autonomous driving vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the sensing data is programmed into the second memory area in one of multi-level cell (MLC) programming manner, triple level cell (TLC) programming manner, or quadruple level cell (QLC) programming manner.

4. The autonomous driving vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the storage controller is configured to determine whether the preset event occurs based on the event data and store the sensing data in the first memory area based on determining that the preset event occurs, and store the sensing data in the second memory area based on the determining that the preset event does not occur.

5. The autonomous driving vehicle of claim 4 , wherein the storage controller is configured to determine whether the preset event occurs further based on information about event pre-stored in the plurality of nonvolatile memory devices.

6. The autonomous driving vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to generate the event data based on processing the sensing data.

7. The autonomous driving vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the first memory area set to read-only mode is blocked from write operation and erase operation.

8. The autonomous driving vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the preset event and the sensing data associated with the preset event change depending on settings.

9. A method for storing data in autonomous driving vehicles, the method comprising:

obtaining, by a plurality of sensors, sensing data;

transmitting, by a processor, event data and the sensing data to storage device;

storing, by the storage device, the sensing data associated with a preset event in a first memory area of the storage device;

storing, by the storage device, the sensing data not associated with the preset event in a second memory area of the storage device; and

setting, by the storage device, the first memory area to read-only mode based on the sensing data being stored in the first memory area.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the storing the sensing data in the first memory area comprises programming the sensing data in a single level cell (SLC) programming manner.

11. The method of claim 9 , wherein the storing the sensing data in the second memory area comprises programming the sensing in one of multi-level cell (MLC) programming manner, triple level cell (TLC) programming manner, or quadruple level cell (QLC) programming manner.

12. The method of claim 9 , further comprising determining, by the storage device, whether the preset event occurs based on the event data;

wherein the sensing data is stored in the first memory area based on determining that the preset event occurs, and

wherein the sensing data is stored in the second memory area based on determining that the preset event does not occur.

13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the determining whether the preset event occurs further based on information about event pre-stored in the storage device.

14. The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

processing, by the processor, the sensing data; and

generating, by the processor, the event data based on processing the sensing data.

15. The method of claim 9 , wherein the first memory area set to read-only mode is blocked from write operation and erase operation.

16. The method of claim 9 , wherein the preset event and the sensing data associated with the preset event change depending on settings.

17. A method for storing data according to an operating mode of a data storage device comprising:

receiving event data and sensing data;

determining whether the sensing data is associated with a preset event based on the event data;

storing the sensing data in a first memory area based on the determination that the sensing data is associated with the preset event;

setting the first memory area to read-only mode;

storing the sensing data in a second memory area based on the determination that the sensing data is not associated with the preset event; and

setting the second memory area to normal mode.
